mass change devices in scenes

Question

Posted

I need advice on how to mass change devices in scenes. For example, I have a temperature sensor that is used in multiple scenes. I will replace the temperature sensor with a new one and I need to change this device en masse in the scenes as well. Or is it necessary to solve this individually and look for where it is used everywhere? Thank you

Hi @michal_pu ,

Please check this:

Once implemented above solution changing some device ID will be easy then not requiring to change it through all the code.

He's talking about scenes and if it's block scenes no luck with htables...

...and Lua scenes require integer device IDs in the conditions section.

Probably requires a script to traverse the scene structures and patch the conditions... 😉
