Question

Hi everyone. I have a Dimmer 2 installed like the below diagram with around 200w of dimmable Edison bulbs. Whenever I turn on the power, the RCD immediately blows. I also tried it replacing the N link to Sx with a direct link to a neutral line. Any ideas why this would not work…?

Hi.

first of all, a link to the misleading picture, namely the connection of the bulbs. In your picture, there is a classic E14/E27 light bulb, which has one pole at the bottom (connection of phase L), the other pole is on the screw (connection of neutral N).

Okay, so if I assume that you have the bulb connected correctly, then you have another problem.

The reason is that you are trying to use a bulb that has its own electronics for dimming/memory settings. These bulbs are controlled by a short on/off press!

Use a normal type of bulb and check the correct connection and dimmer function.
