Block Scene Pogramming in HC3

Question

Posted

I have used HCL up to now and done done my scenes as Block Scenes.  Using the same Block scene programming also in HC3 but can't get it to work properly. I enclose 2 files, one from HCL and 1 from HC3.  The one in HC3 doesn't work while the one in HCL work perfect.  What do I do wrong in the HC3 Block Scene ?

Look like you need a different AND OR, possibly dayofweek AND (time OR sunset)

or:

dayofweek AND time

OR

dayofweek AND sunset

(Also the time 7:43 related to a sunset isn't logical. That sounds more like a sunrise moment.)

Thanks.  The control of the lights consists of 2 scenes.  This one is for turn the lights on.  I have another one for turning it off.  The purpose with this scene is to turn it on at a spesific time in the morning.  The othe scene (not included here) is turning it off later in the morning.  Then this scene are supposed to turn it on again in the afternoon (90 min before sunset) before the other scene os turning if off in the late evening. Hope someone can give me an idea of how this scene should look like. It looks like the setup of the Block scenes in HC3 allow either all to be "AND" or "OR"

You need to fiddle 😄 a bit with the ALL/ANY blocks like this:

First you insert two ALL/ANY blocks like this (they are on the right top of you screen)

Then you can insert daysofweek and time in the first ALL/ANY block and another daysofweek and sunrise/sunset in the second ALL/ANY block like this

    Voila 😉

Indeed, every one is a bit lost with the AND OR things. But I wouldn't know how to present it better.

could have been a tab with "logic" under the energy tab and make it like the device block and time and everything else if you ask me :D

Great value to be included in this forum.

I have managed to create a scene that turn on the lights in the morning (to a setvalue), turn them off after sunrise, put then on again before sunset and turn them off again in the late evening.  Different times for different days. All in one scene. I tried the ChatGPT (for the first time) together with LUA programming and it looks like it work.
