Temperature sensitivity external sensor

Question

Posted

Hello everyone,
In the last few days I have been working with my fibaro home system again. I have 5 heating thermostats, each with an external temperature sensor, and the Home Center 3 Light in use. I have now noticed that the temperature is only reported back from the sensor to the HCL3 every 10 minutes. I always thought that a change in temperature was always reported immediately to the HCL3 and that the 10 minutes was only the maximum interval, but that doesn't seem to be the case. This means that my rooms are heated well above the set temperature. How can I make the temperature sensors more sensitive? My aim is to achieve a constant temperature in the room, but at the moment the heating curve looks more like a sawtooth than a constant line.

Do you have any tips for me?
Thanks

Michael

    Hello everyone,

    am I really the only one with this problem? The temperature change update comes too late and so my rooms heat up well above the set temperature. Can't I set the transmission interval to 5 minutes, for example? Or does anyone have an idea of how I can trigger/query the external sensor with a LUA so that I get the current temperature earlier?

    I would be grateful for any ideas!

    Regards

    Michael

    @Michael78

    Do you have more than one heat controller with external sensor per room? There should only be one temp sensor per room, controlling all heat controllers. You can pair up to 3 heat controllers to an extra sensor.

    Hi Fabir,

    thanks for your advice, I have 3 rooms with one temperature sensor and one thermostat each and one room with one temperature sensor and two thermostats. The problem for me is that the radiator heats up too quickly and by the time the next temperature message comes from the sensor, the radiator is already so hot that the set temperature is significantly exceeded.

    Are there other ways of changing the sensitivity of the sensor or shortening the time interval between the messages?

    Thanks

    Michael
