Running instances in home center 3

Question

Posted

Hi

I just migrated from HC2 to HC3 and I'm making scenes in HC3. The scene what I want to do is if the motion sensor is on that put the light on for x min. and if the motion sensor detects movement again than put it on again. So multiple running instances . And that part I do not know what to do as I only know it in the HC2 manner.

I have read that you can variable scenerunning and than true or false, but than I have no idea how to create the true of false scene as I do not want to do this for each motion sensor that I have

can anyone please help me out

thanks

Sandra

Welcome with your HC3.

If you read here on the forum there are a few All in One systems.

For example Eventrunner there it's easy to add several triggers. With 4-8 QA's you can operate the whole house.

There is also A Dutch formum on discord

Actually, it not multiple instances but canceling the first one and starting counting again for turning off.
This is a default options for all scenes, if scene is triggered again it is just being restarted and counts time from zero.

Multiple instances mechanism was not so clear and that is why it was abandoned in new platform.

Are you wanting to write your scene in Block or LUA?

I have scene running in my hallway that triggers when detecting motion and turns off after 2 mins of no motion. Any motion before the expiry of 2 mins keeps the lights on. Unfortunately I can't help with LUA
