QuickAPP User UI disappear

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi guys,

I need a bit of help because I cannot figure out what's happens on a QuickApp I'm running on my HC3.

the QuickApp is Zigbee2mqtt available at this link:

Now the QuickApp is working fine. UI is available and everything is working properly.

As soon as I edit any line of code, a simple space in a line commented, then the UI became gray and unusable.

Here below the working UI

Here the interface if I add even a single space in an already commented line

Can somebody help me? This QuickApp has 25 Zigbee device connected And I have to connect 4 more but I need to change some line of code.

In the past I already successfully add some line of code without any issue but not I'm stuck.

I've seen this before ( @Neo Andersson ?)
My guess it's a QA developed before the new view model, so the QA.fqa lacks some of the new UI data structure.
When installed in the HC3 there is some bug so it does show the legacy UI view but when re-saved, due to the new UI structure missing, it
bugs out and all UI elements disappears.
Either Fibaro fix this so that older QAs will still work. Alternatively, old QAs need to be updated...

That's correct. The QA was developed before the new view model.

What is strange is that if a load a new instance of the QA from scratch it works.

As soon I modify something in the "new" QA the UI disappeared.

On my case I cannot cancel and reinstall the "original" QA because I have 25 child device involved in tens of scenes depending of that QA.

@m.roszak Do you have any advice?

For those could face the same issue I found a fix.

Basically all the button ( on the working QA ) was visible on the app but in the configuration, probably during an older update HC update, was set to hidden.

I have to set all the button visible again and to remove all the label and palace it again.
