Z-Wave FQ change from RU to EU

Question

Posted

Hi!

I've hustled purchased from hand Yubii Home which was set to RU region for z-wave.

As far as I know it can be set up for EU region without HW changes.

I appreciate for any help. I've also messaged to support for help.

Maybe anyone knows how to change region so I can comply with my devices and EU law for using right frequency.

I've found a way to change frequency on Fibaro HC2 but this method does not work on Yubii Home =(

Unfortunately, this is not possible.

You have to buy a device for the given region (controller and device).

Just a note:

SilicinLabs (manufacturer of Z-Wave chips) from the Z-Wave 700 generation (which is also used in Homecete 3r Lite and Yubii Home), has the ability to make changes based on fw. But these are changes directly on the chips in the configuration sw.

In your case, you have to accept that this means buying a new controller.

This is not possible at all or Fibaro Support can somehow change via software?

I believe there should be a way to change but the settings is not allowed for users to access:(

If you feel that Fibaro would be interested in modifying your device to make more profits from the sale of the controller for your region, please submit a support ticket.

Be sure to post the result here, it will surely be of interest to everyone.
