Qubino wave 2pm doesn't report on change

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi Team,

I have just installed 2 Qubino wave 2 device on my HC3L and when I switch physically S1 or S2, only the parent turns ON and OFF. It doesn't change the statues for the S1 or S2. When I poll manually the device, they immediately change the S1 and S2 statuses.

Also, association groups don't work. Neither when I physically switch, nor when I switch from HC3L. I want to turn on and off a Fibaro switch with the Qubino

Any advice?

Hi @Peter Kun,

Try to set association Group 1 to Single Channel instead of Multi Channel association. We ran into it with Shelly Wave 1.  Shelly seems to have always Association Group 1 as Multichannel. It looks like to be due to interview result between Home Center and Shelly device.

In case of other association, check if both devices have the same level of security, otherwise they will not work between each other.

Best regards,

Jakub

The correct Association Group 1 (Lifeline) configuration for devices that report the same value multiple times—such as having two On/Off reports like in your case—should be set to Multichannel mode, so the correct setting is Multichannel as it was set. The root reports is usually used only for the Single channel devices.

Regarding the association with another Z-Wave device (e.g., Fibaro), you have two possible configurations:

  1. Basic On/Off
  2. Level Change (only applicable when using a button)

Before setting up an association, ensure the following:

  • Both devices must be added with the same security level (S2, S0, or no security)
  • The associated device must support either depending of what you want to set:
    • On/Off control (any device that switches an output on or off)
    • Multilevel control (such as dimmers, shutters, or devices that operate on a 0–100% scale)

The association can be configured at the root or endpoint level. Please check the
