How to control HeatIT ZM Thermostat 16A with a HeatIT Z-Temp2 ?

Question

Posted

Dear all,

Read several issues with HeatIT on the Forum. Perhaps this one qualifies as well as an incompatibility of HeatIT with Fibaro, but maybe it is not. Hence posting my question.

- I have an in-wall thermostat from HeatIT (ZM Thermostat 16A)

- I have a battery operated Thermostat HeatIT Z-Temp2

In theory, the Z-Temp2 should be able to control the in-wall thermostat via an association. However, when I try to do this, I do not find the right association to link to on the in-wall ZM Thermostat 16A.

As "expected" the association gives an error, as the On/OFF from the Temp2 can not be linked properly to the 16A Thermostat.

Am I doing something wrong, or HeatIT bug?

The parameters seem to be matching what is in the manual. I am on zWave 3.0 using a HC3.

Thanks for any thoughts, Jeroen

With associations that is impossible, even with the z-temp3. Both those thermostats are designed for water based heating/cooling systems based on a simple on/off valve (or z-water)

I've written a lua script to resolve this issue. Hit me up via PM ;-)
