Wall plug Type G unable to reset (power button disabled)

Question

Posted (edited)

I’ve bought a Fibaro Type G wall plug off eBay and it looks like it’s still connected to another controller. When I connect to power the ring goes from yellow to white. Then when I connect a device (such as a kettle) the colour changes when the device is active.
problem is it looks like the button has been disabled as I cannot turn off manually or I am unable to hold button to reset. Holding for 30s does nothing.
I’ve tried to put my HC3 into exclusion mode but I think as the button has been disabled on the plug, I cannot do this.
Anyone got any suggestions?

thanks

It’s a Type G UK plug and I already have multiple of the same model number so frequency is not the issue.

The seller must have activated “local protection” And didn’t disable before selling on eBay.

I was hoping someone may know some sort of workaround to factory reset the device.

    Thanks
