HC3L action on internet connection lost

Hi,

 

I run a HC3L in a remote location and it happens often that the internet connection is lost. When it happens I need to manually restart my internet box.  
The internet box is hooked to a wall plug which I’d like to turn off, then on automatically on connection lost.

 

I’ve been browsing through the interface and the internet without finding an example on how to do that.

 

I understand the basics of coding and tried a LUA scenario with the help of AI for coding, but the code generated uses functions that are not available in the HC3L environnement it seems.. 

 

Neither could I find any quick app to monitor the internet connection status.

 

Can anyone help ?

This logs you out the internet connectivity status. However i don't really understand your goal, as if your internet for HC3L is lost, you can not reach your home remotely. Maybe i misunderstood your goal. Anyway, the code above gives you a boolean, true/false according to connection to internet.

if possible try to install this QA:

QA monitors internet connection and if connection is lost it will reboot HC3L after delay which can be setup by you.

@Neo Andersson This way, if the internet connection is lost, then the HC3L will reset the router which is the main reason for lost connection.

Hi @dams ,

Suggested QA is rebooting HC3L if internet connection is lost. Code in the QA can be changed to turn off and then turn on router by means of smart plug.
