Fibaro Lite in the house we just bought and would like to use it. Previous owner tried to transfer but transfer was unsuccessful.... help please

Question

Posted

Hi. We purchased a house with a Home Centre Light. There appears to be lots of items connected to it - focused on house security - motion sensors and door open sensors.

The old owner tried to transfer the 'ownership' but it appears my virus protection blocked the emails at my end to confirm the transfer.

I'd prefer not to reset the HC Lite, so would like guidance as to the best options.

The home network is the same but we have a new internet provider.

I do not know the IP address of the unit.

Many thanks, Phil.

@PhilW Hello and welcome to the community.

The transfer of a fibaro homecenter from one Fibaro ID to another Fibaro ID is:

-The homecenter has to be online and connected to the Fibaro ID of the previous owner. Than the previous owner has to delete the homecenter in his Fibaro ID.

-Than you have to create a Fibaro ID and connect the serial number of the homecenter to your Fibaro ID.

If the previous owner already has deleted his Fibaro ID, he has to conntact [email protected] in order to delete the homecenter from his account.

fibaro support can do it

or call local fibaro installer,

if You really have HCL :

then replace it ASAP with at least HC3L

HCL is worthless, and every second of playing with it is lost ...

@GanzConrad Of course fibaro support can do it, if the new owner of the house, can proof ownership of the homecenter to Fibaro.

The newer fibaro homecenters are much more versitale. It depends on the new house owner, if he has the skils to handle the change with the existing zwave devices. Or has ask a fibaro installer.

I still miss the power- and temperature-panels of homecenter 2 and homecenter light. No equal replacement so far from fibaro.
