Offset not available anymore... The HEAT to the TRASH?

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have been using several The Heat devices for years and have been very satisfied with their performance. However, since the last update for my HC3, the temperature offset feature has been removed.

As a result, the temperature is now reported at 20°C (for example), when it is actually only 18°C. Without the ability to offset the temperature device, it undermines the fine control benefits that a home assistant should provide.

Could Fibaro consider making this offset feature available again, or will we have to discard our The Heat devices?

I am available to discuss any potential solutions to manage this issue.

Thank you, Cyril

This was already mentioned on the forum.

Offset in temperature sensor which was changeable for Heat Controller temperature probe did not in any way affected the device behavior and controlling of the temperature.
It was misunderstood from the begging, this offset was never transmitted to the device so it just altered the value presented in the system.

There were some discussions about adding this feature to the device firmware but no decision at this point about it.
