Yubii Home showing "Unknown" status for Venetian Blinds

Question

Posted (edited)

I have the venetian blinds from Elero with Combio 868 JA/Pulse receivers. When I tilt the blinds open, Yubii Home is showing status "Unknown".

The hub only shows "Open" if the blinds are fully open all the way up and "Closed" when they're fully closed down.

Any status in between is "Unknown".

Hi @markwwd

this is "correct".

On these receivers you will only see "Open" and "Closed" as status as you described and everywhere in between is always "Unknown".

Only when you set favourite positions and drive to them these are shown.

So in summary, this receiver only has 4 fixed shown positions, all others are shown as "Unknown"

Thanks for your reply. Why is that though? These receivers are bi-directional. Shouldn't they report at what percentage they've stopped?

Bi-directional means that they reply and send back an acknowledge to the remote/gateway etc.
They are not meant to send back the % because they don't exactly know where they are because it hardly depends on the venetian blind actor sitting behind it.

There are so many different venetian blind actor and depending on their behaviour the percentage will be differerent everytime.

Oh.. I understand. Is there a way to resolve this? Get them to report the percentage?

    Unfortunately no, sorry...
you would have to replace it with a RollerShutter4, that could work.

But not with the elero combio
