Question

Posted

Good evening,

despite the winter is nearly over here, I undertake a task to improve my heating system.

It consists from several heat controllers, smart implant in heater and Fibaro plugin.

It's working more than less ok, when the head are so kind to communicate with central properly (no "orphaned" heat required etc).

Sometimes happen that the temperature should be raised a little, but the valve in heat controller seems to be closed. And the oven is on for 12 hours (only pumping water in the hydraulic cluth), on example.

A solution seems to me to open the heat to the full (or in contrary scenario - close) by setting the temp to MAX. This decision would be made after fulfilling some common conditions.

What's the problem to me - is the source of temperature measurement. It's not always but often: head thermometer, zone temperature schedule page (the same device selected to measure), json from /panels/climate and Yubii app reads different values of temperature.

Why is that? I would like to ask about short lecture about the temperature measurement in HC3. I hope that someone also meet such problem.

Radiators are often mounted below the windows in a room. There the heat controller is reading a temp that can be up to 3 degrees Celsius lower, than the the temp in the middle of the room.

In order to have comfortable temperature in most areas of a climate zone, I'm using an additonal temp sensor for each of my climate zones. Each climate zone is configured to follow this additonal temp sensor. Im using Smart Implants with DS18B20 temp sensors and Aeotec Multisensor 6 with power supply, for this task.

To show what I mean. Situation now:
    1. Heat controller view (in web interface): 18.3 C

    2. External thermometer (FGBRS-001, in web interface) linked to the same head: 18.8

    3. Json (zoneName.."properties.currentTemperature"  obtained via api call "/panels/climate"): 18.3 (for this zone device 1. with sensor 2. is selected as measuring unit)

    4. Heat zone readings (in web interface, available to "ordinary" user): 18.6

I've noticed, that Yubii app does not update the heating panel (only at start), so forget it.

Minor differences (this time), but its always a difference when I trust that the measurement source is the same.

It's only zone with external sensor and three heads, but only one (1. + 2.)is involved in temperature measurement. In other zones with one head the results are similar - temperatures does not match.

Could anyone say why is that?
