Hello,

I am asking for help and advice on a strange system behaviour. Tonight and last night some relays suddenly triggered, turning on the lights and opening the garage door. No scenes are created and linked to these relays. I can see in the event panel that the relays are on. I am using Home center 2. Triggered devices: one contact from Fibaro FGS-224, and one contact each from 2 relays FGS-223. Could anyone advise what happened, where to look for the problem, what is causing the relays to turn on. The triggering happens at the same time. There has been no recent wiring work. No new devices have been added to the Zwave network.

Did you set any associations for the devices mentioned?

yes, thank you for suggestion, triggered relays- one contact of each is associated and works through association, but triggered not associated contact,  Fibaro FGS-224 is not associated. these two relays are not interconnected, associated anyhow with each other. the pattern is like triggered only not associated?

    Hello,

I am still struggling with spontaneous relay activation. Fibaro and Hartman Secure relays are activated. The activation time varies, in the morning, evening, night, or day. As far as I have noticed, activation always changes the relay status to on, I have not noticed the status changing to off. Not all relays in the system activate, they activate in both floors. Thinking that this was an HC2 problem, I replaced the memory battery, as well as the thermal paste and the main power supply. The relays activated even without the HC2. The contacts of one relay were burnt, so I replaced it with another one, but it didn't help. AI says it could be EMI, but there are no strong sources of radiation in the house. Just normal household appliances, not some kind of workshop. The home electrical input has both overvoltage stabilization and phase balancing. It was installed later, but it did not affect the automatic activation in any way. What could activate the relays? How to find the issue?

    Hi @HC2-056590,

if you have any Fibaro RGBW modules then check their associations. It is know that they sometimes get "ghost" associations and activate other devices. It did happened to my system some time ago.

    Please see following thread:

There is also scene code to help clean those.

    Hi

Thanks for the advice. Actually, about a year ago, I tried the Fibaro Dimmer 2 module, but it didn't work properly. It reported excessive current, so I disconnected it but didn't exclude it from the system. The automatic activations started after that. There have been no random automatic activations for about 30 hours now. Chatgtp generated a script to check if there were any Ghost associations left in the scenes and nodes. The script found nothing. So far, so good.

    Hi @HC2-056590,

I had some problems with dimmer 2 modules, like flickering and sometimes bad calibration of some types of LED bulbs, but had never problem that they cause ghost associations and activation of other devices. On the other hand, as I mentioned, Fibaro RGBW modules sometimes get this ghost associations and activate other devices, like Fibaro smart plugs, relay modules or even roller shutters 2. I managed to clean those manually not even using code made by smart guys here on forum.

AI like chat GPT is tested by me for some code, and I never get satisfying answer from it. Maybe it is me asking wrong questions or in wrong way, but it is just a huge consumer of energy and nothing else. I still prefer to ask living humans with experience, while AI is just used for fun and a good laugh :-D

When I needed to understand z-wave network and how it works, I buy a book about it written by human that really understand it and was involved of making it. Also, to learn LUA I buy a book written by the human that actually made this language and I still believe that they know more about it than AI.

Humans in my opinion are getting insensitive and stupid by just looking at the mobile phones, so with AI I do expect that in some time we will became bunch of idiots not able to do even basic things without help from AI that is unfortunately also learning from the same idiots. Sorry for the bad language and I'm not suggesting that you are the one ;-)

I travel a lot across this globe and all I can see on airports, hotels and airplanes is that everybody is constantly looking at the mobile phones and therefore missing everything else and gradually getting unaware of the world around. Few days ago, when I was traveling back home, on Shanghai and Munich airport I was watching people around me and they were all looking only their mobile phones.

It is just my belief that IA is not made to make us smarter, that is all. Just a next step after mobile phones and social media networks, which are everything but social. maybe I'm antique, but I still prefer direct eye contact and conversation with other humans. problem is that there are no much humans left to have a nice conversation with, since everybody is addicted to their mobile social media happy to have hundreds of virtual friends.
