Question

Hi all,

First post :-)

Just wondering if anyone can assist with wiring and parameter settings for Dimmer 2 module with a sensor?

Currently have a wall switch which has a sensor and a dimmable light wired to it. I am happy to lose the funcitonality of the wall switch together if necessary and just have the sensor and the light wired to the module but I'm unsure of the correct wiring configuration for this, have done a search but can't find anything online. Have tried a few different setups so far but nothing working. The sensor has two wires currently running to the switch , connected to 1 and 2.

Appreciate any assistance!

Search on here for "motion" and you'll find a lot of posts, including some comprehensive scripts that will get you started.

    Thanks Tim, I should clarify that the sensor is a third party product which was installed by my electrician when we built the house. So I'm trying to figure out how to connect that correctly to the Dimmer 2 module so that is triggers activation of the light when movement is detected.

    @NickBusselmann

    Try to take a picture of the sensor from the front so that you can see the labels on the terminals and how the wires are routed. If you find the product name, write it here.

    Do you also have a neutral N connected in the box under the sensor/switch?

    Thanks for your help guys, think I figured this one out. In the end all it required was a live and neutral connection to the module (standard 3-wire setup), and then a connection to the switch from the module's load terminal.
