Walli Roller Shutter indicating incorrect position

Question

Posted

Hello,

I am using Walli Roller Shutters (FG-WREU111) for several window blinds.

Most of them work fine, but there's a position problem with two of them :

- When moving them using my home automation box, a Homey one, everything is fine. For example, if I open the shutter using the Homey Up button, then its Walli Roller position becomes 1.

- When moving them by pressing the buttons Up or Down of the Walli device on the wall, then the shutter moves right but its Walli position is not updated. For example, if I open the shutter pressing the Walli Up button on the wall, then its Walli Roller position is not updated to 1. It is not modified at all.

For all of them, I'm using the roller blind mode with automatic positioning.

Here's a photo of one of the blinds, in case it can help. The other one is the same, also a big one for a french window.

Thanks for any support.

Hervé

Are you sure that lifeline association (group 1) is correctly set to controller destination?

I think so, as group is 1.1.

See attached parameters (Homey) for the 2 Walli which do not work and for one of those which work fine. It looks like it's the same parameters ...

Thanks a lot for your help !

In general, mutlichannel lifeline should be set to 1.0 not 1.1 according to spec.
It still works, just shutter sends reports to 1st channel of the HUB, which probably does not exist - it may work depending on actual implementation in the hub.

Try changing it to 1.0 for test purpuses.

Do you have any event log there available to be downloaded (with Z-Wave logs) after controlling the shutter from the button?

I've changed it to 1 (1.0 can't be entered) and then I have done the test but same problem. When moving the shutter by pressing the buttons Up or Down of the Walli device, then the shutter moves right but its Walli position is not updated. It still work fine when using my home box.

I don't know how to get such logs. Can you tell me please ?

Thanks a lot once again !

I am not familiar with Homey, so the best option will be to ask on their support.

Device for sure sends the reports to lifeline destination, so the question is why Homey does not handle those.
