Seems to be alot of new 800 series devices only work nice on engine 3.
But engine 3 seems to soon be the main engine to:

    Hi, thanks for the support.

This is the response I got from support after asking me if I have Z-Wave V2 or V3.
<This could explain the problem, unfortunately you can't get rid of it without configuring it, but the device should still work.
I suspect that the parameters are also not displayed, I have provided you with the overview in the following link.

Attached is my situation which I understand to be version 2. What I haven't understood yet is whether, having only a single phase and no photovoltaic, this device is usable with my HC3 or not.

what version do you have red(single phase or blue 3phase?
and you ask if it is possible to use on your system without photovoltaic and your system is single phase? 🤔

And to get it working good you have to go to the v3 engine it seems like. And that is alot of work to move all the 56 devices from v2 engine to v3 engine to be honest 😅 Hope they will make a migration from v2 to v3 later

I had to buy the three-phase version because I couldn't find the single-phase version. But its intended use is on a 3kW single-phase line without photovoltaic generation, etc.

do I really have to start from zero? 😔

What does it mean to move all the devices from v2 to v3?

When setting up the HC3 for the first time you can choose between z-wave engine 2 (V2) and the z-wave engine 3 (V3)

So to go from v2 that you are on now to V3 you have to start from Scratch, because there isnt any migration tool for it.  (have to factory reset hc3 and add each device again)

OK, but for now I'm not even remotely thinking about reconfiguring all the devices to switch to v3, which I think is still in beta.

So it seems to me that there are no alternatives to using this device with the v2 network, correct?

Yea, seems to not update the devices. Only the voltage? Or isnt the clamps connected yet?

It was just a bench test, so no clamps were active, but the voltage reading didn't seem to update even after about twenty minutes.
At this point, I should consider the previous HEM Gen5 model, assuming it's compatible and truly functional with the HC3 z-wave V2.

Ah, I recommend to test with the clamps. Usually the voltage isnt updating often in this type of devices. (it got a threshold of atleast 2v change for exampl, so if it isnt a change of min 2v it wont report it. Unless each time update that could be 1 hour)

check out the parameters in this manual it is possible to edit them yourself in the v2 engine:

the manual is from the buttom of this site:

I've tried it with various 4-bit parameters, but nothing works. It won't update even with a load of about 2000 watts. I've also tried enabling it in safe mode, but I still get the same result. At this point, I think it only works with the v3 engine, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

The device is very strange and buggy.
HC3 adds and communicates with it perfectly on the latest firmware, but due to the lack of a configuration template, settings must be entered manually. By default, the update time is set to 1-2 hours (parameters 111, 112, 113).

After updating these settings, you will see the data.
But... I have version 3clamps, and it sends nonsense. Consumption at the generation endpoint and other bugs.

Update: The vendor was successful in providing assistance. I will leave my solution here in case anyone else encounters a similar issue.

The direction of the clips is not always correctly indicated on the device! If the data is sent to the generation endpoint (not consumption endpoint), simply reverse the clip incorrectly. In my case, 2 out of 3 clips had incorrect direction indicators.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I ended up returning it. Then, after countless searches, I found the Meta Energy Driven Switch C 7, which works perfectly on the HC3. With the HC2, I always had the same product listed as version C (and not C 7), and it never failed to measure anything. However, it wasn't fully compatible with the HC3. The difference between the old C version and the C 7 is that they removed the relay grid via the app and added the kWh.
