Can't reset module (ie no yellow light)

Question

Posted

I'm having real problems with a particular module connecting to Homey Pro.  It has connected in the past, but I have now removed it from Homey and am trying to reinstall it.  I have not changed the wiring at all. The problem is that the LED light on the module does not come on "red" when power first applied.  If I press and hold the "B" button to get to a pulsing "yellow" to reset, I never get the yellow.

There is nothing connected to S1 and S2.  The intention is that this circuit is entirely controlled by the module

Power on:  nothing

Press B button:  after about ten seconds, blue

After another 2-3 seconds: green

This then stays green and turns on the switch!  But I can't reset the module or include it in my Z-wave network.  If press the B button again the LED goes out and the switch turns off.

Any ideas?  .

You obviously chose the wrong forum - this about Fibaro devices, and not Homey 😎

I think you have to go into the "tools developer"(

) part of the homey and start z-wave exclusion or somthing. then press the b button 3 times to reset the device.

And after that try to include it again with the app for the device.

No, I'm asking about the Fibaro Single Switch Module reset procedure.  The fact that I'm trying to connect to Homey is not that relevant (but thought it might be useful info for someone to help).  So my question still stands.  Why can't I get to the "yellow pulsing" LED on the Fibaro module when following the Fibaro reset procedure.

Thanks, but it's resetting the actual Fibaro switch that I'm having difficulty with.  If I do that, then I believe I'll be able to re-include it in any Z-Wave network.  But at th emoment, the switch is not behaving as per the user manual.

@golightlygl, get Homey Pro into Exclusion mode, then tripple-press B-button. This is another way to reset the device.

Exclusion mode should work even if device is not part of your Z-Wave network.

The device was unrecahable from Homey, hence the desire to completely remove it and reset it.  I still don't understand why I couldn't achieve the reset routine as per Fibaro instructions.

Fibaro Single Switch Module reset procedure

    Which exact model?
The old ones does not have the "menu" and LED.

There are few generations of those, be more specific then we can help :)
