Paulmann 939.99 Zigbee Outdoor-Controller

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

we had an Installation, a few Days ago, in which our Customer had 4 Paulmann 939.99 Zigbee Outdoor Controller.  I just want to give a few Hints that made them work with the Fibaro Home Center 3, despite no official Compatibility listing.

1. Always reset them to Factory Settings first, even taken fresh out of the Box these Controllers would not add.

For this, you have to:

   1. Cut Power to them

   2. Apply Power for about 0,5-1 sec

   3. Cut Power again

   4. Do this 5 Times in a row, now they should Blink 2-3 Times

2. Take your Home Center 3 and some extension Cords to get them as close as possible. (20cm was the Maximum Range for us)

3. Adding them

    1. Cut Power to them

    2. Apply Power for about 0,5-1 sec

    3. Cut Power again

    4. Do this 3 Times in a row, now they should Blink 5-6 Times

If adding fails, Reset them again, get the Home Center closer or buy some normal Fibaro Switches or Smart Modules.

After this they will be added, it will take around half a Minute. After that you can Switch them On and Off.
Regarding Zigbee Range, after adding about 10-15 Meters with one Wall in between were possible.
