Console background

The console background is a disaster. Using light theme, you cannot see anything....  Using dark theme, the dashboard looks ugly, and I don't use it.

Please set back the background as it was

The debug logging is hard to read, but there apparently are two versions depending on the Z-wave engine (?) you are running.

With ZW3 the text is a bit more white than the blue text with the ZW2 engine.

FYI, we will adjust the coloring for better contrast - I won't go back to the exact state before the change  
I have seen the preliminary design and looks ok now, I agree that current theme in white theme needs to changed.

Disaster after disaster, braking more things than solving problems. Some things that were working before are broken with last stable version and are still broken regardless of reporting it here on forum. Also, changing features without documenting them and braking already working users made QA. What!!!

 

One thing is adding features which are never properly documented so no use to users developing solutions, but changing existing features that really makes it. Same philosophy was also before with HC2, forcing me to rewrite my code every time when new firmware was published and then spending so much time finding and understand what Fibaro developers changed since documentation was never Fibaro strong side.

 

After more than 5 years waiting for Fibaro to do something with HC3 I'm getting tired. I do not know how much longer my HC2 will stay healthy and clock is ticking. Since there was never roadmap from Fibaro and no real support for developers... and then @m.roszak ask for more patience... really???

 

BTW - not only console is disaster, but also swagger. I do not know who decided to replace white text with dark grey in dark mode, but that person definitely does not know absolutely nothing about UX design.

So, this beta was released just to see users reactions? Or developers were again under the pressure from management not having time to sort it out? But still, why change something if it was accepted by most of the users? Do you have clown in your team? (Apologies for being so rude, but it is deserved)

I can understand your frustration, please just go back to 5.180 GA for now - this is the only thing I can propose.

There will be 2 more betas (one in about one week) and another one in a month.

First one will contain mostly security improvements related with upcoming Cybersecurity (RED) directive (+some fixes for the UI), part of those changes are already in current beta.
This was very big topic eating a lot of the developers resources, including the certification itself - we can thank EU for this. 

Next beta will fix remaining issues with the web interface.

I think the console background should be always the same color and not theme depended. 

BTW, the light theme looks good, better than previous version

Please go back to “dark” background on the console window, spent so many hours to make the text just right.
But now it was a completely waste of time……………

This is so hard to read. From 28 June 2025, new EU rules will apply to the accessibility of websites and apps under the European Accessibility Act (EAA). A lot of work was done by a whole lot of compagnies to comply with those rules. Fibaro is going the other way 🤣

Text in time settings not possible to read at all in dark theme. In light theme fine to read but overall light theme seems very weird…
