CO sensor FGCD-001 (2 x beep & 2 x GREEN BLINK every 30 sec)

I have CO sensor FGCD+001 manufactured 2017 July 04 and installed few months later. It is version 3.2.

On the side of the sensor there is a note: FGCD-001 Replace by 30-09-2025.

 

Yesterday at 03:00h in the morning it started with two beeps and green blinking every 30 seconds.

I guess it started beeping and flashing because it reached end of life, but according to manuals it should be

 

3 x BEEP every 60s and 3 x YELLOW BLINK every 60s

 

Moreover, above 2 x beeps and 2 x green blinks are not explained in provided table of device status indications:

Nevertheless, there is a warning notification on my HC2 that is very clear that CO sensor has reached end of lifespan:

This warning is added every time when battery is placed in the device.

 

There is another CO sensor of the same manufacture date, version and replacement date note that is installed at the same time, but for now no beeping and flashing.

 

Any suggestions regarding this two old ones CO sensors or I can just toss them in the electronic garbage and order two new ones?

Due the chemical sensor inside, those may not work correctly.
As this is a life danger sensor - please replace those

Hello @m.roszak,

 

I just received new CO sensors that were manufactured by Nice-Polska Sp. z o.o. on 17th November 2022.

Since they last 8 years from the production date that means that I already have lost almost 3 years of the product validity for the same price.

2 years 9 month and 17 days lost of the lifetime duration to be exact.

Isn't that a bit too much?

Its a good question, probably to be asked the distributor - not Nice-Polska directly
