Cannot update 4.3->4.9

Hello. I have 2 old style FGT-001 with only one pinhole button. I try add this devices secure mode, non secure mode - - but anyway cannot update firmware.

I always got message "Error while validating the file".

 

Any solutions please?  May be need 2 stage update?  4.3->4.5(4.7) , then 4.7->4.10 ? But in this case i need firmware file

 

I also have 2 new style FGT-001 with button which can be pressed by hand (brown carton package) , and update 4.9->4.10 without any problem.

As always, all done by myself.. 

Yes , modern HomeCenter3Lite with Z-Wave 7 , etc. - cannot update my 2 FGT-001 with old 4.3 firmware!

But , after remove this devices from my new HomeCenter3Lite and pairing with Old Scool very rare HomeCenterLite with old interface - my 2 FGT-001 start updating with very nice breathing LED effects (newer see this with modern HomeCenter3Lite!) - 2 step long update   4.3->4.9 , then 4.9->4.10

If you can just let us know what z-wave engine version did you choose on HC3L? Is it 2.0 or 3.0 beta?

You can check it by opening Swagger and select settings/info. Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. Updating from version 4.3 to 4.9 won't work. Unfortunately, I don't have the hc2 or hc3l and I don't want to downgrade to Zwave Engine 2.0  

I received information from support that if it doesn't work, I can send them the heads and they will update it.

It would be nice if they solved this problem.

Try variant remove your fgt-001 from pairing and add to controller UNSECURE mode (Without S2 security ). Then, try upgrade 4.3->4.9 

If upgrade  passed (final 4.9 or 4.10), later you can again remove and add FGT-001 SECURE mode
