You do not need to install complete package, but just some needed parts like translation and schedule and then HUE2 support. Everything is explained in provided user manual.

Zoran, I still have problems, I wanted to install the entire UHAS but I got a bootloop. What I really care about, as you know, is the HUE Module.
I'm trying to find information in the manual which directories are needed only for HUE, but I have a problem with English and the translation itself helps, but it is not perfect. Are the three elements you provided enough for HUE to work fully?

Hi @XTeK,

sorry for late replay, I was at my work and didn't have much time to be here on forum.

Regarding UHAS for HC2 here are few things to keep in mind when installing that are mentioned in chapter 3 of the UHAS Installation and user manual:

  1. To use any of the UHAS modules, e.g. ALC for lighting following modules must be installed first in mentioned order: Translation, System, Schedule and Notification module. This is because all other modules depend on this four base modules and use them and can fail if not found.
  2. To add scenes use only editors that support plain text without formatting like Text Edit or Notepad or any of the programs used to write code. MS Word or similar word processing programs are not recommended for copy/paste LUA code.
  3. All UHAS scenes added must be manually run after saving.
  4. IMPORTANT NOTE: NEVER use save button in variable panel. UHAS is storing most of the information in variables using JSON table and these are destroyed when save button is used.

It will help if you encounter problem to send me screenshot of the debug window. During installation of UHAS there are some errors in debug that are expected and are explained with screenshot and instructions how to solve them in the manual.

Today, I switched to the Hue Bridge Pro, because I was reaching number of devices limititation. Outcome: Total catastrophe - the new bridge is not recognized by the Fibaro Plugin, even if you supply the correct IP. Status: not connected. This is major slap in the face from Fibaro - they had months to adapt their plugin to the new Bridge specs and the issue has been raised early enough! What is going on there? Very dissapointed and outraged at this kind of negligence ☹️

Hi smarthomededdy, yes - but it does not meet my requirements - I need individual device control! Thanks! Cheers Alfons

Just for fun I installed today the Hue Plugin on my (lab) Home Assistant. What can I say: I worked directly out of the box with the new Hue Bridge Pro - and no tedious searching for individual devices required - the complete bridge config is loaded with one step. Makes me quite furious that Fibaro does not come up with a solution for this problem, after this topic has been mentioned already months ago and several users opened tickets. This is simply unacceptable! I‘m seriously considering sunsetting the HC3 and switching to HA - lot of work involved and slow progress, but at least some progress!

Update: In the meantime, I managed to migrate most of the ground floor devices to HA (esp. the Hue and Govee devices) - works perfectly. But now I‘ve got a lot of Fibaro devices (esp. sensors) which can longer be used to trigger scenes (unless I transfer them to the z-wave stick on the Pi). I still wonder why Fibaro is so inconsiderate regarding user requirements - all of my Hue, Innr, LedVance, etc. devices became immediately unusable with the outdated Fibaro Plugin when I switched to the Hue Bridge Pro. … and no resonse from Support since the ticket has been opened.

It is not only Fibaro. I have Philips TV with ambient light that was working nicely with old HUE 2 bridge. After replacing bridge with new HUE Pro this stopped working and TV is unable to locate it and connect. Now the only solution is to get HUE sync box since it is hopefully working with new HUE bridge Pro.

Regarding Fibaro and their HUE plugin, I never used it on HC2 and do not plan to do that with HC3. I have made my own integration of HC2 and HUE bridge Pro and have same plan to do that for HC3.

BTW - there are already some nice solution for HC3 and HUE Pro integration made by forum members, but I just must make my own :-)

    Hi @awlieser,

Currently I'm working on Yubii UHAS translation and system modules and I hope will finish in few days. After that plan is to continue work on the lighting module and HUE integration. I expect that I will need at least few weeks to one month to make HUE integration since I have to find the best approach how to make it. I want to achieve that user can select which single and grouped lights child devices to add to the system. Also need to have possibility to select and activate HUE scene for those child devices.

I have now 3 weeks left before I have to leave home for work where I will stay next 5 weeks. Besides all that I have to invest time in my family when I'm at home, so as you can see it is difficult for me to give you even approximate timeline. To be honest I will do my best to finalize most of the Yubii UHAS before end of this year, but no promises given.

FYI, In two weeks time I will return home and start to work on HUE Pro bridge and HC3 integration. What you can expect is totally different approach that existing work from @jgab and @petrkl12. Also for first version only lights will be supported since I do not use other devices with HUE bridge such as motion and DW sensors. How much time I will need to make it is now difficult to say, it depends on what difficulties I will encounter.

Just to mention that my solution will be both standalone and Yubii UHAS compatible :-)
