I have played with a similar concept. 
I was thinking of making a docker container, easy to run on most systems, that provides helper/proxy functions for the HC3.

  • Email, like your example
  • Oauth authentication
  • TCP encryption
  • etc.

Stuff that are hard to achieve on the HC3 as we don't have the libraries to communicate with modern remote systems today.

    @jgabDocker will be more convenient because we often use Raspberry to do Homebridge and HomeAssistant!
