Recent updates have changed the way users log in. The access settings no longer include fields for entering local permissions. Users are now unable to log in, even though they have tried all the previous options.
So how will local access data be entered now?

How can his access be fixed?

Thank you

Hi @marbe,

After upgrade to the latest firmware 5.183.63 beta I have tested all my family members and mine iPhone Yubii Home app and also local and remote connection with browser and all working as expected.

Also, superuser can still manage access to devices and scenes for other normal users, while they can't do any changes as expected.

Just to mention that we all use latest version of Yubii Home app for iOS.

Sorry if I didn't understand your problem correctly, but I failed to see that there is any problem with user login.

That is true that you need e-mail address, but why is that a problem? With all those mailing services with free adding e-mail addresses should not be a problem.

My local user that is not added to Yubii ID still use one of my additional e-mail address so I know if something happened with it when notification is received.

If the upgrade invalidates user login credentials, it is necessary to go through the Forgot Password process.

But update does not invalidate any credentials, if you are sure "it did it" just restore the previous version/backup - it will contant the orginal passes.

The one change here is that the only person knowing his password is that person - admin can't see it/change it.
As @Sankotronic said, email for offline users is needed for "forgot password" and nothing else.

I want to set up a local user with limited access to devices (using Manage Access) and no remote access.

If I set up a user then this user has remote access. If I delete the user on the HC3 but select the keep local option then the user remains on the HC3 and an invite button is shown.

However, if I try to log in using the password I set up initially it fails at login, if I then select the reset password option then I don't get a reset email.

Then if I press the invite button I do get an email that has an Accept option which gives me REMOTE access.

Alternatively, if I set up a new user and select the Offline User option (which tells me it is a local user only) the user is then created and an Invite button is shown. If I Press the Invite button I get an email. In that email If I press Accept then I just get an error when I accept the terms and conditions.

Local users don't seem to work

If you create local user (using browser connected locally) and want to have it as local user then you do not use Invite button.

Since this is user with limited access and there is no Setup option, you can still change password when logged in by selecting Access settings in the upper right corner of the home page.

I use this type of user for geofencing and can access only one quick app button to change presence. Of course password must be very strong :-)
