Cant remove from old hub?

Question

Posted

Hi

I have multipable Double Switch 2 FGS-223 that has been used in an old Fibaro home lite vers 1.

I cant connect to that old hub anymore.

So bought a new smart hub , but from what i read i must factory reset my swiches from the old hub first.

So trying this:

Resetting the Dimmer 2:

1. Disconnect the power supply.

2. Remove the Dimmer 2 from the wall switch box.

3. Connect the power supply.

4. Locate the B-button on the housing.

5. Press and hold the B-button to enter the menu mode.

6. Wait for the visual LED indicator to turn yellow.

7. Quickly release and click the B-button again.

8. After few seconds the device will be restarted, which is signalled with the red LED indicator colour.

9. The device enters the calibration mode

But i doesent work for me , i ever gets an red signal that i should i step 8 ?

And guessing thats why me new hub wont find it ?

Help plz

You can do first an exclusion of the module on your new hub and afterwards include it.

    Depends on type of hub.

Hc3 and hc3l you have to go to the web view and settings and devices then "remove device"

But other hubs could have it more hidden.

Every Z-Wave device has a Learn Mode, which it enters when you press its “pairing” or “include/exclude” button.

When a hub is in Exclusion mode:

The hub broadcasts a “Remove Node” command (“Who wants to be removed?”).

Any device currently in Learn Mode responds.

The hub tells it to perform a factory network reset — clearing its old Home ID and Node ID.

    The result:

The device forgets its old network and becomes ready to join a new one.
