Recently, every new update has caused issues with ZigBee devices — they either disconnect or go missing.

Each release includes numerous updates for Nice and Elero devices, yet a quick look at the forum shows that most users don’t even use these devices (near to zero questions posted).

On the other hand, many users consistently raise concerns about ZigBee instability, disconnections, and reliability (it’s a recurring topic in community forums).

Despite this, the Fibaro team has not taken meaningful action in this area.

Yes, there have been repeated promises to improve ZigBee, but after so many years it remains in Beta, with no clear roadmap for progress.

Is anyone else has ZigBee issues after updates?

BTW:

The industry consensus is that eventually all smart devices will support Matter over Thread. Are there any plans or thoughts in this direction?

There must be a good reason why ZigBee devices are cheaper than Z-wave devices?

Can anyone name at least one controller that works with most of the ZigBee devices if not all?

Matter over thread, yet another try to get money out of the users pocket, or it is really something extraordinary and futuristic?

Apologies for the stupid questions, but I have advanced WiFi home network with several access points that uses WiFi channels spread out and there is left almost no space for ZigbBee or yet another 2.4GHz invention that is trying to make non compatible devices compatible. I just buy HUE Bridge Pro to replace my two HUE bridges v2 to reduce interference and get some free space on 2.4GHz band for my Sonos network. Any thoughts about that?

Yes, Tuya/Smart life and Smart Things (Using very cheap ZigBee Hub)

The same can be said about Z-Wave NEO Coolcam low-cost devices, but they don’t cause crashes across the entire Z-Wave network, correct?

By the way, I’m not asking for support of additional ZigBee devices — only for proper communication with the devices that HC3 already recognizes.

Let’s assume you’re right and the devices themselves have some issues. Still, after an update, all ZigBee devices appear as disconnected. Another clear indication that the problem lies with HC3 is that you cannot even start the process of adding a ZigBee device — HC3 immediately shows an error.

That’s fine. I’m using Alexa for some ZigBee devices that aren’t recognized by HC3, and it works flawlessly.

But the idea is to use the same hub for all devices.

I use zigbee2mqtt quick app. All devices are on HC3. The only side effects is that you need a mosquito broker...

I use this one with few change to get it working because the dev do not made changes anymore.
