Question

Posted

Hi! I have an Android phone with all permissions enabled in Yubii to collect my phone’s location. It wasn’t working before, but for about a week and a half now it seems to collect the location only when it feels like it (or when something wakes the app up).

I’d like to know if it’s possible to show the user’s position on the HC3 map and how to create a scene to arm/disarm when I enter or leave the home area.

Also, if anyone can help me get the location tracking to work properly, I’d really appreciate it. I wrote to support but they haven’t provided any help…

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,

Welcome to the land of Geofencing NOT working. ( Sorry for the sarcasm) The short answer is No, Geofencing doesn't work natively with Yubii and Android. The attached two links to recent threads on the forum here will give you some more info. If you search Geofencing via the Forum search bar, you'll see this is not a new issue

Hope this gives you some clarity

Thank you for your reply!! I had been reading the forum and I was already aware of the issue with Android. I waited for the technical support team to get back to me, but they haven’t been helpful at all, nor have they said “this is the problem” or “the issue is still ongoing.” … so we’ll keep waiting…
