Watter pump operating notification scenario

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

I have a 1 m wide and 5 m deep shaft behind my house, into which groundwater flows during heavy rainfall. The shaft has a 1.1 kW submersible pump for draining water, which is connected to a socket via a Double Switch 2 switch for control purposes in Fibaro HC3.

I am interested in how to create a scenario so that the system will notify me via e-mail when the submersible pump is turned on/when it is operating.

Best regards,

Ales

this is a very easy task..just create a block scene. On the left side (the trigger side) add your socket device and set as triggering condition its state (or even its consumption is available i think), then on the right side of the scene just add a notification block, select the user (s) and add your message that you want to be sent.

    Hello,

Thank you for your advice. At first, I thought it was related to energy consumption, but now I have created a block scene in which I have created a state condition so that in the event of "Light turned on," the system sends me an email with the text "Submersible pump is running."

Now I will wait for the shaft to fill with water and check if the block scene is OK.

    Best regards,

    Ales

    Hello,

Fortunately, it is raining heavily today, so now is the ideal time for testing. The submersible pump has turned on several times today, but I have never received an email notification about it turning on. Admittedly, it only turns on for a short time (about 30 seconds) due to the float switch, but its total energy consumption today is 0.44 kWh.
Do you have any other ideas about which parameters I should enter in the scenario block?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Ales

    Translation:

Name of scene: Submersible pump is running.

Room: Outside - Draining watter shaft

    Device: Draining watter shaft socket

    Choose: Lights turned on

No, thats only if you want to manually run the scene, i meant the switch left to it, but as i see you have it turned on.
I dont think that the problem is with the device reporting when its getting switched on..rather i would say there is something with the email..
Double check what email have you linked to admin

try to run it by the triangle, to see if email still doesnt arrive..If not, then there is some issue with the email
Maybre try to send PUSH notification and not email to see if it works

The email is fine. I tested a block scenario for the light in the room, and when it is turned on, I receive a message in my email.

    try it with push message

also you can check if the switch's icon gets turned on when pump triggers it.
if it doesnt work, check the paramaters of the fibaro switch.

    Ohh

When the switch icon is always green, it means, it never triggers

Trigger happens only when the state is changing. from OFF to ON or from ON to OFF. Your device is always in ON state, so it will never trigger because ON never gets beeing the state

try manally turning off the device then manually turn it ON..you will get the email

The submersible pump must be connected to the power supply at all times. Since it has a built-in switch in the float, it turns on and off depending on the water level in the shaft.
Is there a block scenario that would notify me that the submersible pump has turned on?

I dont understand you..So your fibaro switch is always turned on??? Thats what you trying to say? Then you will never get any email, because there is no trigger for state.
What is the switch actually doing to you?? Is it getting turned off when the pump turns off?? i really dont get your installation..

The socket is connected to Double Switch 2 only so that I can check remotely whether the socket icon is green (switched on). There is moisture in the shaft, and I am afraid that it could cause a short circuit and trip the fuse. Without monitoring via the Fibaro system, I would never know this.

Please draw me how you connected your fibaro switch to your 230V socket..Show me the drawing, because this doesnt add up to me..
You goal was to turn on your 230V socket using the fibaro switch??? How you connected the fibaro switch to the connector (to the socekt?) i will help you if you show me your elektrical drawing, just some skecth is enough

To do so, I must contacted my electician. Keep you in touch.

I think he needs to trigger on (more) power usage. If the power usage is higher than the regular usage (pomp is waiting for the water), then send an email. The parameters probably have to be changed to get the proper reporting for power usage.

I have the same setup for a non-smart doorbell/intercom. The blockscene triggers a push message if someone pushes the doorbell and the screen tunes on.

yes but he is tryinhg to trigger on state..and that will not work.
power usage can work, but i would like to see the drawing, because if he is switching the 230V socket by a fibaro switch i bet that sooner or later the wrires will get burned out!

    Hello,
I have a Fibaro Double Switch 2 in my basement electrical cabinet, to which a 1-way push button is connected (in case I want to physically turn it on/off (red number 1)), and from there it goes to the shaft where the socket is located and the submersible pump is connected to it (it works with a float depending on the water level in the shaft).
