Hi All,

Is Fibaro/Yubii planning on leaving Zigbee in BETA forever? And why is the Tuya Zigbee chipset not supported/configurable?

Don't get me wrong, I love the Home center 3 platform but there has not been a new Z-wave device available in the market (Australian market) for a long time and it seems the online stores are starting to phase out their Z-wave lines. Plus a lot of new Zigbee devices getting released and are all based on the Tuya chipset

Yes there are bridge and QA options, but that kinda defeats the purpose of an all-in-one solution/platform.

Disclaimer, still relatively new to the Fibaro community, so if there is an easy work around this connectively issue, My apologies in advance.

The short version: Very little Z-wave product exists in Australia, and most of the Zigbee ones are incompatible without some sort of third party bridge/application

Cheers

I have had some success adding Tuya and Aqara Zigbee  devices directly to HC3. It is very much dependent on the type of device - for example no Zigbee button devices work. For Tuya it also seems to depend on the brand/manufacturer- for example, some PIR sensors work and others will not.

Agreed that it is very frustrating that the HC3 was marketed one way, when in fact what has been delivered is very different.

What kind of device are you looking for? Maybe I can point you in the right direction
