Hi @m.roszak,

Any news on weather conditions?

From what I can see it is still mixed up. Is there a chance when this is finalized that you give us a list of available weather conditions and weather condition codes?

Thank you!

Not yet, its in the backlog on pretty high priority but its just not that easy...

Its seems simple but any changes in this area may/will affect all the interfaces (old app, new app, webUI, scenes, scenarios, lua scenes) - this is something on the shelf for now.
For sure we will clean this up at some point but currently there are more urgent topics in progress.

    Thanks @m.roszak for explanation.

It really isn't that much important except that it does influence weather providers icons in the Yubii app. They are not same as on the web GUI.

Maybe we can figure out together as a community list of the desired condition types for the weather icons - as an ultimate list... for the future.

I think that we can even make a poll on that ;)

To be honest I like to have it simple as it is now, just maybe add few missing ones. I will check and provide a list.

Just one question: is there any limitations or boundaries what is worth to have? For example: icons and conditions for sunny/clear and partly cloudy to have different icons for day and night time?

Due the nature of current digital language system very small details on the icons won't be possible, so for example "drizzle", "light rain", "moderate rain", "heavy rain", "storm" does not make much sense - no clear visible difference between icons and all those would need to be multiplied by number of specific weather condition types (snow, hail, sunny, cloudy etc...).

As for night/day - I would go for something generic here but if the voice from the field will be strong on getting those I will try to figure it out with UX/UI designers to make it happen.

I agree. Keep it simple with just most needed weather conditions.

There is another thing I need to point out. I noticed that weather on dashboard is not updated as expected. If I select my Tempest Weather provider which updates every minute, this is not reflected immediately on dashboard weather. Is there a limitation how frequently dashboard weather is refreshed?

Just to add, dashboard weather is refreshed if home page is refreshed in browser, so I do not refer to browser refresh, but to automatic refresh when home web GUI page is shown in browser tab.
