Trying to add Environexus z-wave relay modules

Hi all, I’m new to the FIBARO ecosystem and need some help connecting some existing third party modules. The house I recently moved into has a number of Environexus Nero-Relay and Nero-Dim modules wired in the wall behind the switch plates. Problem is that the previous owner took the gateway with them. I have opted to use the HC3 Lite which I was led to believe should connect to the existing relay and dimmer modules (all z-wave based). From what I have been able to find on the internet, I should just be able to press the sync button on the relay for >3sec (or toggle the connected switch 3 times) after putting the HC3 in inclusion mode and the controller should connect to the module. It never does, the inclusion mode timer just times out and prompts to retry. Has anyone had any experience with these modules? The company has ceased operations thanks in advance for any help
