Weather in the Home Center 2 - Check your city script

Question

Posted

Dear Members,

Often, there are doubts about the weather data displayed in the Home Center 2. Service which is used to display the Fibaro weather data is the google weather.

Please login or register to see this image.

The system collects the weather data only on the basis of place names given in CONFIGURATION -> LOCATION.

Users who have questioned whether for their city google provides weather data can now check the webpage:

Please login or register to see this link.

The script for the available weather data returns the following result:

weather-ok.jpg

However, the data are not available:

Can we have an update please on the accurate way to handle location to ensure the correct weather. This pinned thread is outdated as it still refers to Google Weather so needs to be changed or removed.

Thanks

It does not matter if i change lat and longitude, city and country. The temperature is always 10c and sunny, night or day. What to do in order to get this right?

Please ping this address query.yahooapis.com (this is the address data is downloaded from) from the local network your controller is in. If ping goes smoothly then contact support, if not ask your network administrator to investigate it.

Does anyone know how to set the weather location. My HCL and HC2 always show the same weather.

go to setting - localization and Enter your City name there.

You can check with

Please login or register to see this link.

if the city name is enough or if you have to add the country.

Eg: when you type in the search bar you get multiple results for "Berlin".

So for one of the Berlins in the US you could use Berlin, NH, US

Important changes for Yahoo provider: In January 2016, Yahoo discontinued the service that allows you to use latitude and longitude to locate your weather location. To continue to use the Yahoo weather provider, you must upgrade the weather binding to 1.8.1 or later and supply a woeid (Where On Earth ID) for your location, as shown in the example below. You can find your woeid by copying the numeric digits at the end of the URL for your location at weather.yahoo.com.

I did not noticed a new topic.
