  • This would be very useful for me. All TV's in my house run a small PC with XBMC. Would be great to be able to make a sceene that dims the lights, shuts the blinds and turns on my XBMC wich in turn turns on the TV at the correct input (using HDMI CEC adapter).

I don't know if the HC2 can send packet over UDP, I think support only TCP in virtual device at this time, perhaps in V3 ? With help of LUA ? WOL use Broadcast over UDP to send magic packet ...

I can include this fonctionality in the HC2 SDK (

) and provide a way to do this: for example call a script wol.ashx?mac=XxXxXxXxXxXx !

    Regards.

  • Krikroff,

LUA will be added to virtual devices with http and udp support.

Wake On Lan works perfectly in that solution:)

Wow! Just what I was hoping/waiting for!!!

Will it also have a binary button? (On/off so we could toggle it from external resources and run scenes based on it)

    Regards,

    Mark

  • For now there is a workaround

Please login or register to see this image.

    /emoticons/default_icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

Once do the following command via a scene:

Please login or register to see this code.

    After that you can do:

Please login or register to see this code.

(Change: 6c:f0:49:1a:61:3a to the correct MAC address, you could also use a variable)

Wakes up my HTPC like a charm

  • Hi Welcome!

You should switch the scene to LUA (only possible in the Beta version).

I suggest to add a guide section with some of this scripts to help users with most common LUA scripts
