FGS221 Switch 2x1,5kW

Guest GG

Question

Guest GG

Hi!

Does anyone know what is the actual difference between FGS221 version 1.9 and 2.1?

I recently got two version 2.1 from one supplier and two version 1.9 from another supplier during the same week...

If there is any significant difference, it would be interesting to know.

Ulf

  • Joe,

I agree. And it's not about logic. It's about how Fibaro looks at things. It's a small and growing company with it's own view and approach to the world.

If this is how they want it, do so, and a lot of times so it'll teach them there are other ways as well.

  • Perhaps it's time that you all post a support ticket or phone up Fibaro.

The admins here have stated (sadly enough) on multiple ocasions that this is a users forum with a little bit of admin help, but for main support questions you'd have to call/mail Fibaro.

In the past I tried to contact Fibaro directly for support but like in here they don't answer that well.

so I'm thinking about unplugging the HC2 again but now for ever.

And I definitly won't buy any Fibaroproduct again.

    GG, 2.1 support fimware update

    Hi

Will it be possible to updade firmware without using a Home Center 2 ?

    I'm asking because i have a lot of Fibaro devices (FGS-221, FGK-101, FGD-211, FGR-211) but i'm using a Vera Lite as controller.

I don't think there will be any update options outside HC2

as far as I know there is no firmware update yet implemented in the zwave standard.

There are also no so much modules that can do firmware update via OTA.

A.Socha, does it means that it will be possible to update Fibaro modules firmware with other zwave boxes (for exemple Vera from Micasaverde) if those companies implement this new zwave function in their boxes ?

  • I thing Andrew is saying that it's a new feature within the zwave standard. So it's mostlikely only possible if you have a zwave controller supporting the latest zwave standard?

Which version will that be Andrew? I see that the HC2 is talking 3.42, most FGS switches are 3.42, I have 1 being 3.20 (year older) and the new FGWPE talking 3.52

In which standard does this update feature appear?

with double switch relay version 1.9 when they are not configured on HC2 but only connected to a button is hard to turn on or turn off the light, I have to be very quick in the press. I have to learn them s Hc2 and change some parameters for it to work in a useful way?
