Can it be connected directly to a wall switch?

My goal (as I currently have it installed) is to have a wall switch to turn the RGBW lights on or off, and to be able to control the colour using HC2. Currently I have a Sunricher RGBW controller with WiFi, and a Fibaro 3 kW switch to switch the power supply (AC/DC adapter in a wall plug).

The easiest solution would be that HC2 can control the Sunricher controller, but unfortunately it seems to communicate directly over tcp instead of http.

It seems the Fibaro RGBW solution is designed to be "always on"? Or to be switched on/off together with other lights (using scene)?

This device is designed to be connected directly from the wall switch, but please notice that it needs additional DC power supply. You can control it from HC2 interface and from the scenes. Also it can be controlled from other Z-WAVE modules using associations.

This device looks really nice.

How is the change for it to work with Homeseer?

So, just to make sure:

I run a 12/24V DC power cable to my wall switch. The RGBW module is powered by this, and connected to the wall switch (pulse switch) to turn the led lights on/off. Correct?

    rb338,

Yes - module is powered by the same voltage as LED/RGB/RGBW strip and it is controled by GND signal from wall switch (we will release full documentation with connection diagrams within next days).

    mhn,

It should be recognised in the Homeseer interface as 4 dimmer modules (each one for R, G, B, W channel)

Can one connect the DS18B20 Digital Thermometer to this module? Or one would need the Universal Binary Sensor in between?

    Posted

    Daniel W,

You can not connect DS18B20 1wire sensor to this module. It supports 0-10V analogue sensors.

    johnwlawrence88,

Please check on the amazon.co.uk and e-bay. Also local electronic and DIY shops.

    Hello,

Do you you think it is possible to use a FGS211 to control the power supply , and the rgbw driver to dim the led with a double push button ?

The power supply will have a huge inrush current of 75A on start up.

    Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. Can i safety use the RGBW Module with HC2 3.553 beta or it's more prudent to wait for 3.553 stable release?

    Krikroff, yes you can
