dhanjel,

I can not give you exact dates yet, however I hope it will be released until the end of the year.

Ah ok, thought it was closer to release. But that's "good", it lets me focus on all the other parts of the system for a while

Are you able to disclose if the units can be linked in such a way that if one unit is set off, that the others will go off also? With the Everspring this appears to be not possible, at least I have never gotten it to do that.

Honestly, I'll try to avoid any alarm (especially smoke) based on z-wave - too unreliable, especially based on HC2.

This is the one. Availible (very soon) for EU. Easier to use API to integrate with HC2 than rely on z-wave.

Although it's looking very nice, placing your CO sensor on the ceiling is very dangerous, since CO is almost as heavy as air and you usually sleep closer to the floor than to the ceiling...

Why will it be more unreliable? The smoke sensor probably has a signal horn or similar seperate from the z-wave circuit so it can be used without any z-wave controller if its inaccesible for some reason.

    hvb83,

"CO sensor on the ceiling is very dangerous" - it is better to have additional sensors than don't have, right?

Additionally - it could be wall-mounted.

    dhanjel,

Really, have you seen the specs? For example voice notification (as horn is not so efficient and very confusing), emergency lights, versions with 220V power and battery, etc.

    Manuals can't change physics.

Most people will think "hey, I already have a CO sensor integrated in the ceiling unit, I don't need another one". CO doesn't rise by itself very much, unlike smoke, which will rise very quickly. This makes it a wise thing to have 2 different positions for the sensors, otherwise neither will function to it's best in helping to protect you and your loved ones.

In all honesty, how many people will realize this? They've already spent very much money on their NEST sensor, they're not going to spent extra for an ugly CO sensor...

    is motion sensor integrated?

    hvb83,

I'd better add "knowledge is a key"

    Don't disinform others with a false-knowledge.

CO is virtually the same density as air.

Please login or register to see this link.

"CO detectors can be placed near the ceiling or near the floor because CO is very close to the same density as air"

Please login or register to see this link.

"The density of Carbon Monoxide at 20 °C (68 °C) is 0.96716 which is slightly lighter than the density of air (1.00)."

(it is lighter! sensor can be installed on ceilings)

Please login or register to see this link.

"Carbon Monoxide is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas. Air should contain virtually no Carbon Monoxide, although it is produced naturally in some circumstances. It is toxic if inhaled and is flammable at certain levels. It is almost exactly the same density as air."

    Enough?

Now i have only one, the Everspring SF 812 but i want every room to have one.

It's not a bad detector but you can't poll that device so batterielevel is not correct.

Then one day when the batterie is empty it gives an alarm just like there is a fire.

Two times i rushed home from work to look at..........an empty batterie.....

    Hi Wasil,

Is there a mains version or is battery power only?

As far as I know can work with electricity and battery the same as flood sensor.

It should be 12/24V or battery operated. Also some nice features as well, I have never heard such possibilities from smoke sensor before
