. My doorbell is wireless and uses the Homewizard to let 2 bells ring, one on the first and one on the second floor.

I replaced the push button from the doorbell with an ordinary doorbell pusher. This one is connected to 2x1,5kW switch by a 24V relay. You do not want 230V on the push-button.

The HC2 detects the state change of the switch and sends a "push bell" command to the Homewizard by a virtual device. This sounds the bells.

Also the switch is used as doorbell switch in the Video Gate panel. The other relay of the switch is connected to the door lock and also added to the Video Gate as door opener. Of course there is a camera outside pointed at the door, so I can see who is ringing the bell (also added to the Video Gate). This camera (Foscam FI8905W) has motion detection and automaticly mails me pictures when movement is detected.

To make things more complicated, the old Homewizard system still works. I can now open the door using the Video Gate or a Keyfob, the Homewizard app or by phone (SMS or call). This last option is handled by a

My solution for Friedland Wireless doorbell:

I’m using two Friedland chimes, Friedland Converter (D3202), Fibaro Door/window sensor and push button.

I wanted fully battery operated solution so I used Door/window sensor. This could be done with universal binary sensor also.

Hope someone finds this helpful

I have associated the everspring door bell and the button to the hc2

Then I linked the button and the door bell together.

I can now push to the door bell to hear the ring.

Others than me have done this before, but where not able to catch the push of the button in the HC2 (to activate a scene)

now I noticed that in the HC2 log, I can see this appearing briefly before disapearing when I push the button:

(see attach)

114 0>255

So this means that the hc2 is receiving the value change of the device.

Question, how can I start a scene wit this event ?

this doesn't work

SO the EVERSPRING UTSE03A IS NOW COMPATIBLE WITH THE HC2

to do so:

1 - Inclusion chime by pressing 3 times (IER)

2 - Inclusion of the "Doorbell Button" by pressing once (IR) for 10 seconds (leaving supported)

3 - Both devices are created in the box.

4 - Now you need to bind (associate) units together.

5 - Press the (IR) button for 10 seconds on the "Doorbell Button" (the "Push" button flashes)

5 - Press 3 times (IR) button on the "Doorbell Button" (the "Push" button flashes)

6 - Press 3 times (IER) on the chime unit (both buttons will stop flashing)

you can now push a ring to the door bell using

you can detect a push with the scene from A.Socha:

To be a perfect integration, someone knows how to select one of the "tunes" and not just the default one ?

[ Added: 2014-09-26, 23:14 ]

A.Socha,

You can now mark this bugzilla entry as fixed:

looks like the tunes are not selectable trough zwave commands (in the "api" doc of Everspring)

A.Socha,

This solution cannot be added in the linked devices, So I still cannot use the button to launch a videogate session.

Is it possible to fix this in a future release ?

Thanks

I read hat some people had to retry a lot of times.

In my case I try twice and I don't remember what I had exacltly done

I haven't even bothered with the solutions out there for zwave or trying to create something myself. I've bought a WiFi doorbell instead (this one: www.getdoorbot.com) it works brilliantly and I've been able to leach the wifi packet it sends on door chime in order to integrate it with my Hue bulbs. I've been in contact with the developers and they are promising a http-api sometime later (lets not hope it is zwave-later then) allowing for full integration with i.e. fibaro or hue.

Can you explain a bit more and show me the final codes you used?

As in the examples you got from A. Socha both the tags he used was , but I think in the 2nd code snippet it should be right?

As that is what we are trying to catch right?

Or are we just looking at the chime and see if it is playing a tune as I am able to check that and that works.

I can push to the chime fine after I included them both in the HC2, but I am never able to catch the button press.

Step 5 is where I'm getting stuck at it seems like.

Are you 100% sure these are the steps you followed and the right buttons are presented in your instructions.

I bought this doorbell just because you said it would work and because of the video proof you provided. Eventhough the shops where I bought this stuff all said it wouldn't work.

So please help me out as the misses will be mad if this doesn't work and I will have to buy another doorsensor for the old pushbutton to get this to work.

Hi,

I use GEA and with this line i can launch a virtual device

Please login or register to see this code.

114 is the id of the doorbell

You do not need to link the push button to the doorbell, but doing it will not change anything

the id is the one of the doorbell, not the button, it's the doorbell who notify the fibaro box that it is ringing.

so if when you push the button, the doorbell rings

if you can push a ring to the doorbell using the hc2, then you should be able to catch the ring from the doorbell in the hc2

in the french forum of fibaro, there is a guy who just done it using my steps.

us google translate if you do not understand french

btw an othe solution is to put an unibersal binary sensor or a fibaro door sensor as a pushbutton, those solutions will also give you external temperature

Thanks for your reply I've been trying to follow your steps for at least 5 hours now without any success.

I found that thread you mentioned and read through it using Google translate.

I'm just trying to do it with only the Chime included and I can see the value that the chime changes too so I know how to catch that, but after the Chime is included to the HC2 I cannot get it to include to the push button.

I'll have to try allover again, this really bugs me and I'm looking forward in letting my wife know we need another €45 for an extra door/window sensor.

[ Added: 2014-12-18, 20:23 ]

It looks like the Chime can only be included/associated with only one device at once.

I have the same versions as you 3.591 HC2 and 1.1 for the Chime and push button, so I really don't understand why it won't work.

Was yours maybe connected to the USB cable?

Or did you use a permanent power supply?

[ Added: 2014-12-18, 21:12 ]

Could it be you set an association when both devices where included in the HC2?

[ Added: 2014-12-19, 01:35 ]

Nevermind this has costed me all day I just ordered a binary sensor with a power supply, will just get a analog push button from the DIY shop and bring it into the digital age.

Luckily the Chime works great and this wasn't a total miss.

Too bad some seem to have gotten things to work, but most failed.

Anyway by Saturday I have my Z-Wave door bell working I hope.

Thanks for the help, appreciate it!
