Timeout or filter time in scene on HCL

Question

Posted

All,

Yet again this question might be due to my lack of experience.

I have a roller controller that I is controlled by various parameters and I would like to have a delay parameter. I know I can delay the opening/closing by using the red box in the scene configuration, however it will ultimately always happen. What I am looking for is a "red box" added to assigning a variable a new value, is this possible? is possible to achieve the same function some otherhow? (What I am looking for is a filter time so that the roller does not open/close too frequently.)

If it is not possible, is planned? if not, could it be planned? Or is this simply a limitation of the HCL I need to accept?

Thanks,

Erik

erik.simonson, I'm afraid it is not possible in direct way in HCL, more advanced scenes and operation on variables are possible on HC2 with LUA.

what you can do is make a set of scenes.

In a couple set a variable with a preset value.

have a couple of other scenes which all have a different delay. these scenes are triggered by your variables and compare it with the preset variable. then only one of these will be executed.

Thanks for the idea, I did even easier.

For anyone that has the same question here it goes:

I created a timer based scene that executes every two hour, it sets a timeout-variable to '1'.

When the roller is closed I set the very same variable to '0' and then use that variable to prevent it from being opened until that variable will become '1' again.

It is a very crude timer but I believe the average time should be 1 hour which is good enough for me.
