Fibaro Home Center 2 v 4.022 BETA.

Beta version is designed for user testing and soon will be released as official.

WARNING! After installing this upgrade backups from version 1.x and 3.x will be retained but hidden because they are incompatible with the version 4.x. In case of update from old version, v1.x, after that update all users will be deleted. Admin password will be reset. Also update to Beta software all devices will be automatically reconfigured to work with new system architecture. Reconfiguration progress will be shown in pop-up window.

This update can last longer than previous. If this update lasts longer than 30 minutes, please go to main HC2 address (e.g. 192.168.0.1).

If "System temporarily unavailable" text will appear during update, please wait - you will be redirected to the main page when all services start.

Satel - adding plugin progress bar disappears during configuration. Please wait about 15 minutes before performing actions on Satel devices.

Devices Polling may not work properly - devices state in UI may be refreshed only after action taken.

Breached sensor with Arm Delay causes instant alarm after being armed

This version mainly concentrate on adding better support and integration for more devices (not only z-wave device).

Important part of software responsible for management z-wave devices was rebuild from the scratch for better support different devices types.

New Home Center software introduces support for plugins. Plugins give support for new devices and new functionalities without modifying HC Firmware. Plugins can be used for controlling devices via different protocols and standards like TCP/IP, IR*, RS 232*, UPNP. Plugins have their own user interface and can call all APIs available on HC2. Possibility of building plugins by independent developers will be introduced in next versions.

Diagnostic Panel - general information about HC working condition like CPU & RAM usage, free space on hard drive. Will be extended in future versions.

New Z-Wave engine - redesigned and rewritten from the scratch. Now is faster and has better support for devices.

Z-Wave Door Locks support - controlling and PIN settings.

Thermostats - extended controlling for thermostats from manufacturers like: Honeywell, Trane Corporation.

Extended tamper for sensors - exclusive information for motion detection and violation of sensors.

Fibaro Smoke Sensor extended support - level of smoke and gap to alarm level is reported and visible on charts at iPad and Web Page. Sensitivity level is now easier to set.

Fibro Motion Sensor new device - when seismometer mode is turned on new device reporting tremors is available. Charts for temperature and illuminance. Additionally information about sensor violation.

Device hiding - device that is not in use can be hide without removing it.

Device deactivation - deactivated device is visible in UI but can't be controlled.

Multithreading added for HC (server and z-wave) - now engines work much faster.

Event panel moved - for better usability now is available in menu on right side of screen.

User rights management - moved to Configuration.

Block Scenes improvements - for device only available actions are visible, scene activation block added and logical conditions grouping using brackets.

Lua Scenes - updated tooltips for devices.

1st big issue: The Fibaro UBS (temp and movement) are not recognized from iPhone app (latest), the app says 'No device of this type'. In web interface instead are working with no issues.

Same issues as 4.021

* Main_Zwave_Device

reconfiguring a device i got a extra ´Main_Zwave_Device`. and after reconfigure all every device has a extra ´Main_Zwave_Device` .

* forest drapes

4 forest electric curtains, they work flawless in HC2, however in HC2 4.021b one of them shows an alarm (battery low) which is odd cause its connected to a main power source. Firmware/versions of Zwave interfaces is equal.

Will revert to old stable version.

A few bugs solved or improved, a few new, and a pile "unchanged". I've put my observations in bugzilla. Going back to 3.X. I don't want to sound too harsh, it's just that this is my production system. But it was fun to test.

I was not able to add my Schlage Link LE162. I followed the following steps:

1) Put HC2 into learn mode

2) Entered 6 digit programming code onto lock

3) Pressed # then 0

4) it didn't join .. got flashing red LED after a while

To properly add a secure device please repeat this procedure but please remember about two things:

1. To add a device in secure mode checkbox "Device is located far from the Home Center" must be unchecked (under Add button)

2. Device must me in close range to the controller (2m or less)

When you do it like this should work without a problem.

Zwave engine require "low power" inclusion for secured devices - there is no way to change that, this is written to Zwave protocol.

Upgrade seems to have gone weel, no major issues detected. Eventlog seems to be working better.

However, unfortunately still no sceneActivation property exposed for my Zwave.me controllers so they are still unsuable.

Keep up the good work, eliminating the bugs and releasing updates more frequently.

Upgrade done. All devices become inresponsive till i reconfigure a device permanently switching On/ Off. After that i was able to perform actions.

My lc13 are ok for the first time since i try the beta seri. Power energy metering on aeon still doesn't work.

After module reconfiguration the block scene where the module was included has lost the new module id and was impossible to edit.

List of icônes is empty for some kinds of modules (at least switchs).

Perform a recovery.

Waiting now for next relase hopping the progress will continu.

fkruis2, if the device had 7 switched before update it will have them now.

If you want to check it you must re-include the device.

Mmmmm .... my aeotek KeyFOB that need sceneActivation to work don't work ..... maybe 1640 is not fixed ?

Can someone that have sceneActivation confirm if it is working or not ? Only to undesrtand if we need to reopen bug #1640

It is fixed. When included it now shows up as 6 switches. It still displays 7 devices from it's main properties where the ".1" child device is hidden and disabled.

I can confirm, I reconfigured a device EVERSPRING SE812 Indoor Siren that in 3.590 and after upgrade was showing wrong battery level.

After reconfigure in 4.022 the battery level is OK, but the device has a NEW ID!!!
