Fibaro Home Center 2 v 4.022 BETA.

Beta version is designed for user testing and soon will be released as official.

WARNING! After installing this upgrade backups from version 1.x and 3.x will be retained but hidden because they are incompatible with the version 4.x. In case of update from old version, v1.x, after that update all users will be deleted. Admin password will be reset. Also update to Beta software all devices will be automatically reconfigured to work with new system architecture. Reconfiguration progress will be shown in pop-up window.

This update can last longer than previous. If this update lasts longer than 30 minutes, please go to main HC2 address (e.g. 192.168.0.1).

If "System temporarily unavailable" text will appear during update, please wait - you will be redirected to the main page when all services start.

This version mainly concentrate on adding better support and integration for more devices (not only z-wave device).

Important part of software responsible for management z-wave devices was rebuild from the scratch for better support different devices types.

New Home Center software introduces support for plugins. Plugins give support for new devices and new functionalities without modifying HC Firmware. Plugins can be used for controlling devices via different protocols and standards like TCP/IP, IR*, RS 232*, UPNP. Plugins have their own user interface and can call all APIs available on HC2. Possibility of building plugins by independent developers will be introduced in next versions.

Diagnostic Panel - general information about HC working condition like CPU & RAM usage, free space on hard drive. Will be extended in future versions.

Z-Wave Door Locks support - controlling and PIN settings.

Thermostats - extended controlling for thermostats from manufacturers like: Honeywell, Trane Corporation.

Extended tamper for sensors - exclusive information for motion detection and violation of sensors.

Fibaro Smoke Sensor extended support - level of smoke and gap to alarm level is reported and visible on charts at iPad and Web Page. Sensitivity level is now easier to set.

Fibro Motion Sensor new device - when seismometer mode is turned on new device reporting tremors is available. Charts for temperature and illuminance. Additionally information about sensor violation.

Device hiding - device that is not in use can be hide without removing it.

Device deactivation - deactivated device is visible in UI but can't be controlled.

Multithreading added for HC (server and z-wave) - now engines work much faster.

Event panel moved - for better usability now is available in menu on right side of screen.

User rights management - moved to Configuration.

Block Scenes improvements - for device only available actions are visible, scene activation block added and logical conditions grouping using brackets.

Lua Scenes - updated tooltips for devices.

I have updated my HC2, and re-included my PowerNode Greenware, everything works fine but no information about the consumption / only in "kWh". that is it. ( i tried to exclude /include several time and same result.) version powernode greenwave "4.21"

Somebody have the same issue ? or is it an issue which come from to my PowerNode

I am no dev buddy but due to the complete lack of a simple yes or no by a Fibaro member of staff then I base my answer upon my own personal experience and until they fix the power metering class for 3rd party devices on beta then yes manual declaration is your only answer!

Bugzilla posted and also thread but nobody answered anything... quite a large part of the software considering they have a WHOLE tab dedicated to it

A few versions back Andrew put a lot of effort in helping to support power reading for the greenwave. all energy measurements of the modules should be there! They actually still work in my HC2.

Have not tried to re-include. But if it does not work anymore, it is a bug that has been introduced in one of the last betas.

Well Greenwave might still work I do not own one... but I can assure you my 3rd party devices certainly do not and NEVER have under the alpha/beta wave of updates! But did under 3.x

Actually it doesn't work. I had a Düwi switch in for service and it showed 0.70W when switched off and 0.40W when switched on for that socket. Unfortunately that was completely wrong as it still shows 0.40W when there is nothing plugged in. I checked it now and it doesn't report usage on any socket. So Powernode 6 doesn't seem to be fixed.

Horstmann / Secure SRT321 issues:

Looks like the combination of the heating panel and the Horstmann / Secure SRT321 (the room thermostat if you like) does not want to play together nicely.

The heating panel sets the temperature according to the configuration in the heating panel - but when I overrule the pre-configured temperature locally on the room thermostat it simply get's overruled again by the heating panel at the next wake-up.

This did NOT happen in 3.590, so I assume this is a new bug. Or did I miss something?

It is a bug since a while in the betas. But it has not been fixed yet. There for the heating panel quite useless... As overriding is something that should just work

Apparently, someone on a french forum have a Greenwave with a 4.20 firmware version, works fine on HC2 4.022 beta. ( issue come maybe of firmware version )

timed based scene's do not auto restart after fibaro alarm has been activated and reset. Need to log in and manually restart. Known bug?

I was not able to add my Schlage Link LE162. I followed the following steps:

1) Put HC2 into learn mode

2) Entered 6 digit programming code onto lock

3) Pressed # then 0

4) it didn't join .. got flashing red LED after a while

To properly add a secure device please repeat this procedure but please remember about two things:

1. To add a device in secure mode checkbox "Device is located far from the Home Center" must be unchecked (under Add button)

2. Device must me in close range to the controller (2m or less)

When you do it like this should work without a problem.

I cant get the HC2 to go into recovery mode. I've followed the instructions, but the box is unresponsive, with all the LEDs on the front lit.

If I then reboot it again, it will boot up normally. Any suggestions?

Turn back in 4.022 in order to check DSA22 on my system.

I can confirm that :

- Automatic conversion from 3.590 fail (after the conversion DSA stop working)

- Delete device and Add it again let device to work

found a conversion bug :

When converting from 3.590 to 4.X , the 2nd relay of the FGS221 device will be put into the room of the 1st relay.

Example :

Before conversion :

1 relay on room A

2 relay on room B

After Conversion :

1 relay on room A

2 relay on room A

Could not add Lockwood Lock correctly. Added within 1.5m and unticked box for device is far from HC. Both locks added as 2 devices each for some reason and did not function

RGBW would not work from iPhone app and reported vastly different power usage from v3.x so I am not sure which one is correct

I can second the double relay issue that is mentioned above, when I upgraded I had one relay in media room and one unassigned and they both went into media room after upgrade

Recovered back to v3.590 and I added all devices from scratch as I could not control the RBG LED stripping that is across the front of my house

Updated to 4.022 here too.

Two main concerns:

-Since 4.019 I'm not able to see any backups . The list is empty, so I'm not able to restore any old backup.

-I'm still suffering a problem with door/window sensors of Everspring mini. No way to include them into the system, and they were working without any problem until 4.x was released.

I've also report it to the bugs page, but I could´t solve it yet.

fat, Did you give it heaps of time to finish it's thing when installing ? I unticked mine, added on the keypad ( 7 & 3 ?) then waited waited waited .. and when HC2 finished adding it still took a few minutes .. end result, each one probably took 10 minutes to add, and they are all working fine under 4.022. Except all you can do is open and close them still cant assign pins or log pins .. upside is that the battery reporting is working correctly now

alandee, I added it and saw that it showed device 135 (Fibaro box) and device 135.0 (Door Lock). Left it quite a while and it didn't work for either of them. I will try again with another Beta. Thanks for the help

just got my aeon smart switch (Sorry fibaro please add power metering to ur switch)

switch is working as expected on off but the power metering isnt working option 80 is set to 2 and 90 and 91 are set. is this all that is needed and now its down to a beta bug????
