4.024 - 4 "stable"

Question

Posted

I think this questions deserves a separate thread and official "how to" from fibaro - can you migrate directly from 4.024 to stable? Or do we need to go back to 3.x?

thanks

Thanks for the hope.

I am trying to get fibaro to remote in so they can see why the issue happens.

In my experience with all the betas... New 4.024 it´s by far, the most stable one (as stable as 3.5 for me).

There are several bugs active, but I think they will be addressable...

Hope this bugs will be fixed next week...

/emoticons/default_icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" /> So, tonight when I get home I embark on resetting my HC2 at home to square 1, back to the beginning, and doing all the incremental upgrades to 3.6 .. then I'll wait for the 4 stable update, then I'll add devices .. or .. should I try and add devices under 3.6 first then upgrade to 4 "ultra stable rock steady crew" ?

Any thoughts on which course of action is likely to be most successful ? I'm thinking the latter, but would prefer the former ..

Is there any time set for the release today? Just downgraded and reset everything to 3.6 in preparation, so I feel a bit naked at the moment

Why would it be weird? If you release something on CES then you do it at the local time like everybody else does? Anything else would be strange.

Because the release isn't related to any hardware, and as far as I know, HC2 hasn´t even been released in the US yet.

The release is related to CES and marketing, not for serving users.

Give the man a medal! Absolutely SPOT ON!

Which obviously has absolutely nothing to do with the actual time of release. V4 is being released during CES and will of course be released at local time. It's timing of marketing activities which naturally happens at local CES time. As for every other supplier releasing stuff at CES no matter where they come from in the world.

I have a big problem... I have installed around 20 Sensors in Version 4.23... If I downgrade now to 3.59 and do the upgrade then everything is gone and I have to configure all modules by pressing the buttons and therefore I have to remove a lot of switches.... Would It be possible to update from 4.23 to 4 make a backup uf my stuff and thereafter install the 4.0 new and make an recovery thereafter?

Thanks a lot.....
