Can we please keep these conversations positive, and if you need to vent make them constructive instead of destructive?

I get a lot of people are upset, but either work with Fibaro to help them move forward or go somewhere else...please. All these negative posts serve no purpose other than for instant emotional gratification.

Thank you...

Actually, it does serve one more purpose:

It may actually prevent people that have yet to invest in a HA system to give their money to certain vendors.

Well if that's why you're doing this then I would say that is pretty pathetic.

Personally I have much more important things to spend my time on than something I don't believe in.

I think you get what I'm saying; if you dislike your HC2 so much, then sell it and share your negativity on another board. Personally I'm trying to assist so that we will have a better system.

I'm also sick off all the complaining that leads nowhere.

I have got nothing but quick support and response the times

    I needed it from Fibaro.

I run hc2 in 6 different homes and its been running solid for years.

From apartments to 4 story villas.

Sure, some things might not work for some but thinking a hc2 could

Support all z-wave devises is just rediculus.

Fibaros own devices have always worked for me.

I think they are on the right track, with plugins to support external devices

they put the responsibility of things on the suppliers.

    Great move!

My system is coming up on its two year birthday. The day before that happens I will lodge a formal complaint for a full refund for all my modules under EU consumer law. The alternative is selling the crap of on the second hand market and receive, maybe, 1/4 of what i spent. Especially given that I live in a country where a surprising percentage of the Fibar groups products are banned from sales due to electrical safety concerns.

Until that day, I will continue to air my criticism in the odd chanse that Fibar group will actually deliver all they have promised in all their advertising.

*lol* I prolly have some 40 bugs in bugzilla now.

    Well...

First of all, it simply does not do the things it is marketed to do. Over The Air upgradeability of devices? No way. Custom dialogs in mobile client? Nope.

But, the main issue (for me personally) is that battery powered devices simply have been completely unreliable for the last six months or so. using the same devices, in identical locations and testing with evaluation versions of Homeseer or Indigo (or for that matter RaZberry) simply works... and works... and works... and works...

Add to that the fact that for the 4.0 release they added disclaimers that simply states "We do not guarantee that the system will work" "we do not guarantee that your are satisfied with the system" and "We can remove any feature at any time" So, it does not really fill me with confidence.

    Posted

Intresting! I also say im very surprised its even alowed to market features that are not even introdused 1 year later.

    - No response to the sales ban (Now even in Norway)

    - Lack of support for even simple questions

But for the battery devices i must say i have not seen any problems, more that its very anoying that i need to pick down my motion detectors and fire sensor every time id like to change its features.

Well only if you need immediate effect of the changes. When I change for example the minimum difference in temperature for the motion sensor report I don't care that it will be updated/synchronized with the device within next 5-6 hours (wake up time is 18000). But if you need the change to be applied immediately than yes - manual wakeup is required. If you decrease wakeup time it'll affect your battery life.

Or, if the forum uses constructive criticism it might see a great community that helps each other together with Fibaro to solve issues.

    This just helps nobody.

Why don’t you just sell your stuff and be on your way to the great thing you speak of.

(But apparently not use for some reason, so what the problem?)

Again, why don’t you use them then and go to their forums if they are so great?

    Constructive thing to say:

Hi Fibaro, i have a problem with my battery operated devices.

    Could you help me?

Im 100% sure that your problem will be solved as i use the same devices as you and they work 100%.

There is a way of getting all opinions come to light.

If there is an issue it will be fixed without the meaningless ranting.

    Just my 2 cents.

Why sell at a loss when i can use the legal system for a full refund?

I am at their forums, and I am using their equipment. Since you are swedish I may also mention that "Kjell & Co" even has done an article about one of my Home Automation projects. So, I am most definitely using other systems, and building my own hardware.

I have created (multiple) forum threads.

I have logged (multiple) bugs in bugzilla. (Already back in 4.017 i think?) And other users have entered "Me too" comments on those bugs.

I have contacted [email protected] when 4.x went GA. Before that, any report to support about 4.xB just was bounced with "please use bugzilla".

    Zero response so far.

I am willing to bet that your house/apartment is small enough to not require multi-hop-routing? Mine isn't, and there (and only there) do i have issues with battery powered sensors. Again, the other controllers handle this nicely.

    +1 on JanJoh,

I have one question that I keep asking for over 6 months now, it's about the wallplug in Sweden.

    No answers at all.

Is that so hard to tell?

Customers are complaining for a reason!

    Start listening!

Speedy, call it what you like, constructive criticism / complaining, but you and the other HC2 users are benefiting from our complaints. Fibaro have definitely eventually listened and started to take on board what has been said. However it was not after the first or second time , after about 100 repeats of the same thing, many people asking and asking for the same thing, they eventually listened.

So just think of that the next time .

Personally I have not received one satisfactory response from [email protected] . Every question has either been brushed off or fobbed off. I mean like how many compaines in the world can not provide a list of current firmware for there hardware products. Requests as simple as that get a , no sorry we don't have a list, we are working on it. They have a handful of products and can't generate a simple list.

Again after going through the Beta testing programme, they give a bullsh*t response when asked what bugs were fixed from the final beta to stable version, oh no we would only have a list of bugs from stable to stable version, what a crock of sh*t that is. It means no bugs were fixed, or they don't actually no, neither would surprise me

Thats what i am saying, return your stuff and get a refund then.

Dont litter the forum with complaints if you don't like it and feel that you get 0 response then stop using it.

Use your other systems and let us that want to use Fibaro use this forum without the complaining/ranting.

    My experience is different.

I got help from Fibaro not even contacting support, they read the forum and contacted me.

Took all my logs to check everything, 4.031 comes ut really quick and solved my problem.

So, again why do you use HC2 when you clearly have superior systems at hand?

This makes no sense to me. If you have systems that work 100% then use them.

For me there is nothing in this price range that even comes close to feature / price

and i have used and installed Lutron, Crestron, CUE, Elko wireless, IHC.

Very weird, my Fibaro products work 100% in all my installations.

As an electrical installer have installed this system in multiple homes ranging from villas with 4 floors to regular apartments with years of constant usage without problems.

So i absolutely have tested this system with multiple scenarios.

So, you (and others) have isolated problems that can be solved from my experience.

My system is 100% Fibaro and I have no problems at all. I did have some problems when testing the BETA but I was testing a BETA so this is to be expected. If I had one wish it would be for the developers to expand the functionality of blocks so that more complex scenes can be wrote without the need for advanced LUA which I lack.

As stated before, I have moved on, I've accepted that I have been lied too and mis-sold products and am taking action on that front. But what you need to bear in mind is that this is a Fibaro forum, not a Fibaro HC2 forum. I've invested alot of money and i'm as entitled to my opinion as you are. EVERY single product that fibaro sells is mis-sold, so until I receive full reimbursement for my investment, you shall have the privilege of my insight and knowledge on the enigma that is Fibaro.

just one minor point, I was the person that said in November V4 would be released between january 6th and 9th , so if you need any more insight into Fibaro, please just ask me

David, its all Fibaro product for Zwave, I just use them with Indigo. I've 80+ fibaro devices around the house now. I'm pretty happy with them, a few concerns dues to the sales ban in Sweden but not happy the firmware cannot be upgraded over the air, as there is a known problem with the 2.4 firmware on motion sensors with 3rd party controllers which means sending back 20 motion sensors and re-configuring them when I get them back with 2.6 firmware
