Can i see somewhere whats going on?

Question

Posted

Hi there. I`ve got some basic questions.

Q1

Is it possible to see somewhere what´s going on, on the HC2? (3.600) I`ve some Scenes where i`m thinking that they are killing my box?

Q2

Is it possible to get another Eventlog? I think it´s very important to see who is switching something (User1, User2 or a Scene)

Q3

Is it possible to clean up the deviceID`s? I´ve got something about 300 Devices. And because of including and excluding and so on... -) my DeviceID`s are now over 900. Can i get the free DeviceID`s back?

I just think Fibaro has grown too fast and they can't keep up with things, so they scramble people from all the places it's needed less and let them do things where they are needed most.

That's why I hope we haven't seen as much support here on the forum last few days as they are busy fixing stuff (I hope). That's why documentation is almost non existent. The task is just too big and they don't have enough resources to cope with it. I mean why release the 4.x for HC2 and not for HCL, why aren't the mobile apps done to work as good as the old HC2 version. They just can do one thing at a time. They need a bigger team so they can split their resources and do things simultaneous.

That's what my gut feeling says. I really hope they can get their act together, and Andrew is right they need their focus in bug fixing now and create a stable 4.x release then get working on all the other backlog, like mobile apps, documentation, and if they have spare time get going with new features. And do a lot of recruiting to get a bigger team and make sure a release like this doesn't happen again.

If they don't they will loose lot's of customers and the company will go down.

If they do than they can be the best/biggest in the business, they have the potential to become that.

But the need to get their act together, just my $0.02.

Lets make things clear: we are working on such solutions indeed, and they are at quite advanced stage, however due to recent events many improvements were suspended for the good of faster pace when it comes to fixes. We are focusing on that right now, but will get back to introducing new features as soon as all issues are fixed.

deanrparry, fergalmccarthy, I understand you might got a little annoyed by the direction of this discussion so no warn or anything, but please keep remarks like that to yourself. I edited your posts.

I don't know what to think anymore, i'm really confused about everything what is going here.

It's sad, very sad for both parties.

I really love my HC and i really really hope that eventually everything will be ok.

There's one point i agree with you all : focus on an stable v4.

The more features at a time the more problems you get.

Wish you all best, Fibaro and all forummembers

I'll be completely honest I would say the greatest amount of confusion and chaos is coming from a few very vocal users.

I have no problem finding where to post bugs...there is a sticky.

I have no problem installing updates...they let us know when they are ready.

And I have no problem knowing what the status of the system or bugs are, as they constantly tell us.

If you don't quit with this incessant whining, always speculating, and threatening Fibaro, this board will continue to be confusing.

Let's make this board about constructive criticism, and forward momentum, then we can all have stable and fully functional HC2 / HCL controllers...

I agree but some people.....you know who you are have become to used to moaning about fibaro. It's a way of life for them. They don't look for any positives at all. Always on the look out for the slightest glitch or bug so they can get straight on the forum and let people know. I hated lightwave rf and took it out of my house. I didn't go on there forum and dedicate my life to hating it.....I moved on. Please move on if you dislike fibaro that much.

It was your development staff that moaned at me first (for once)! I was backing you guys up and if you actually pull your finger out your backsides and read you would see this!

I am far from annoyed and go to special classes now to control my 'Fibaro-anger Management' please do me and others a favour and stop putting words in my * mouth and spend more time fixing bugs!

I would appreciate you flicking back through this thread and actually reading what I put up to the point I got name dragged into a pointless post!

I abuse you and you moan! I stick up for you and you moan!

And stop insulting people, that doesn't make things better.

Dean has a lot contributed to this forum.

Did you forgot about that already ?

Thank you Lode... for once I actually took the advice of a fellow Fibarian and decided to take a back seat regards the abuse of the company and still got pulled into it... David R's stupid comments on another thread and the A.Socha himself?

Absolute joke!

Hopefully I will be able to post a thank you on here when the next hotfix/GA release hits or i'll be banned for sticking up for myself!

[ Added: 2015-01-16, 19:27 ]

And just incase you cannot be bothered to skip back a page... my previous comment! find any malice or intent in that and i'll personally send you a Blue Peter badge!

PREVIOUS POST:

Do not mean to sound awkward! But why do you guys not throw out some official demonstration videos of stuff you have in the locker or are working on... get people on there toes to show them what is likely to happen sooner or later! Do a quick recording using your mobile phones of the ipad using this feature!

You may find it takes a lot of the pressure of you!

END

---

Not once did I mention adding features!

David, i fail to see what you have ever contributed. You give out about myself and Dean, but i have yet to see a relevant meaningful post from yourself, all you do is give out about other users giving out. I asked you multiple questions on another thread, and not one could you answer, so I think if you look in the mirror, you contribute less to this forum than anyone giving out about fibaro. It is our giving out that has helped Fibaro change there approach to things.

Not in this post no, but others yes, and again you have just avoided the main content of the message. You need to stop giving out about others giving out.

And i am pretty sure David I actually advised on some content for relay/dimmer scenario you had (you were not sure about the use of the code) and also an ipad mount you asked about earlier!

Please refrain from posting my name in threads as i decided myself after the ces release to take it easy on here and people like you and the staff are not actually allowing me to do so!

I am not interested in your tit-tat crap or fibaros for that matter!

What i am interested in is my ££££'s investment working well enough to at least stop having to hit the forum begging for updates every other day!

Yes let's see. My installation is only fibaro and it runs without problems but I can't speak for yours to be fair. Thanks for your help regarding that scene it was appreciated

Fibaro want people like me onboard... they know there own products work with there system! IF they did not none of use would be here!

You go back and play with your fibaro door sensors / relays & dimmers which should work!

Until official support exists...

That's what I do and that is called utilizing the HC2 my friend... I don't do sheep! I do boundaries!

Dean, please give Andrew a break.

I bet he has not slept for a week. He accused me of posting about some * z-wave product with a name like violet the other day but I managed to forgive him without pointing out it was not me.

Andrew , Dean is behaving much better these days despite not knowing .net was already in scenes. Please keep up Dean the documentation explains it all.

deanrparry,

How did you add this module to the HC2? Do you have any special parameters?
