Vision Security Door Lock Zm 1702

Question

Posted

Hello,

I've included a door lock Vision Security Door Lock Zm 1702 on my 4.033. Inclusion works fine.

I can lock/unlock, but I am unable to manage users or codes. I was aware of that, but it seems that there are no other way to do that by z-wave, even by the key pad.

So currently, I am not able to use the key lock. Any idea ?

A workaround is to have a Vera as a secondary controller. However all user codes and logs will be on Vera ... could be positioned as added security to your client

Thank you for answer. We test that also on Zipato controllers and z-wave.me rasberry pi(all works fine). But the solution with other controller are time-consuming, and looks strange for an our customer. Why he must pay for 2 controllers(and for the job of installing 2nd controller), when z-wave standard is used to cross-platforming ? I ask here cause it is lasts for a long time and we have the same problems on a big number of fibaro installations. Fibaro company is much bigger than others(and done pretty devices and pretty user interfaces, 70% of our installations on fibaro products), but the number of supported products z-wave is lesser than have little companies like zwaveme or vera. We are official reseller, but like all others waiting for years for a simple solutions.

U can control the Vera units via http command from  Fibaro. I have current 2 Vera and one Fibaro. And I control the units on the Vera via Fibaro.

You can see your vera devices from this url: http://VERA_IP:3480/data_request?id=invoke

Then you can run this command on Fibaro:

HC2 = Net.FHttp("VERA_IP",3480)
response,status,errorCode = HC2:GET("/data_request?id=action&DeviceNum=25&serviceId=urn:upnp-org:serviceId:SwitchPower1&action=SetTarget&newTargetValue=0")

Would you care to expand a bit on the subject?

add ZM1702 in secure mode (less that 2m from HC2)

do sync to get users synched

add other users

it does works from UI as well via pin pad on the lock, so yes, it seems to be now implemented.

I found door locks function better in Vera than Fibaro so I created a Virtual Device that operates my Lockwood Touchscreen Deadbolt through Vera and also has the ability to change a predefined users pin code (in my case Guest) from within Fibaro.

Please login or register to see this attachment.

The up and down arrows are used to set the digits in the 4 digit pin and the set button sends the number to Vera.

If anyone is interested ill post the code.

Have anyone expirienced the following problem - the ZM1702 was working fine for like 3 years and one day, before the 4.134 beta, it was working on 4.130 just fine but suddenly it stoped. The customer told me that even the keypad stoped to make sound when he pushed the buttons. So we thought the ghbatteries are dead (which is normal, because the last time he changes them it was like one and a half years earlier). So, he changed them and moved to the 4.134 beta and reincluded the door lock. Everything was fine, but 2 days after that the door lock did the same - no sounds, no communication... Is it possible to drain the batteries so fast? I exclude the option that it is from the controller (HC2) and its settings and i suspect the door lock itself. Maybe there is an internal problem with its electronics...Not sure though..Any suggestions?

Hi

Did people get this device working on HC2, I recently purchased the device and am experiencing problems trying to get a pin on the lock.

When I try to set the Pin in HC2, I get two beep on the lock but then i get the following error:

Error while saving PIN code. This may be caused by already existing PIN code, a communication failure, or an internal error of the door lock. Try again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?
