Hi Dean, I know its a bit late but thats what happened to me. You get four devices (plus the master switch), then ....days later the fifth child appears !!! Dont ask why but it will work....eventually;)

With correct values?

I would like to turn on bathroom fan when above a specific humidity.

Any joy yet Dean?

Cafun: Sorry I don't know what you're asking there?

Pretty much the same scenario as all aeon labs devices that have not been support... 1 x main node + temp sensor at 0.00c will definitely require fibaro to add this to proceed any further!

all in all not to keen on the device now i have it... 2 x batteries required (not supplied) 2 year battery life and looks like its not as intelligent as fibaro motion sensors and is time based rather than change of value! 4 min motion etc... by default!

Time will tell... works ok in (other) test scenarios but like i say... still feel fibaro have the edge on the motion sensors!

Hmmm... Thanks for sharing.

I am about to go out and get some as it has all the sensing I needed to complete living room and walkway automation - detect presence, ambient light, etc to control if it should switch off stuffs when no one around.

Will this multisensor work with the HC2?? That's my main concern as my current multisensor-4 has drowned last weekend....

Sorry. Well do you get any values for the humidity sensor? In other words, can you use the multisensor? Or is it best not to buy them yet?

Hi Cafun, I was referring to Dean's comment on the Greenwaver Powernode (which I have also) not the Aeon 6, which I don't. I believe the Aeon 6 does NOT work with HC2 so, atm, don't buy it. Plus, as Dean said, it has some failings compared to the FGMS.

After looking into them a bit more there are thresholds you can set regards values so all is not lost... but still of all the things fibaro did i still love there motion sensor!

/emoticons/default_icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> and yes i have tried many times it is simply not supported at present... ive not tried any manual parameters as from my experience generally it should run on defaults on the device which it also fails to do so... this is a job for fibaro

Thanks for the responses dw89 and deanrparry!

I think I'll just wait a little (or a lot

Fibaro, any sugestions when you will create the compatibility? The sensors are Z-Wave (as well the upcomming wall plug...) so there should not be an issue about its comaptibility.

greenwave still not working either... left it a few days now and still not configured itself properly! fibaro can you clarify it is not working with 4.053 so i do not waste anymore time please! not asking you to spend time fixing it... just the decency to stop me wasting my time (i've been with you guys 2-3 years now i completely appreciate you have better things to do than add support for 3rd party devices)

Dean,

I meant two-three 'Fibaro Days'.... NOT earth calendar days pmsl;) To be honest I presumed it wasnt working and left it....all I know is one day when I wasnt expecting it, and, out of the blue it sppeared without my intervention.

you sure you have the 5 port uk version? my greenwave is still not configured properly 4 nodes and mis-configured (button bashing like a 13 year old on the classic "daley thompsons decathlon")

Posted

Yup, certainly is the 5-port one. Weird that you have issues still. Could either, I guess, be that either a) I was lucky b) your's is broken c) HC2 v4.0[ur version] isn't allowing it to include.

To be honest, I included a FGMS motion sensor yesterday (having done it many times before without any issue) on 4.053 and god did it give me problems of not including properly, not accepting parameters and generally doing the opposite of what the params said it should be doing. I have no idea how (although we can all guess) but it seems 'glitches' are being introduced that weren't there before.....I wonder if it's to stop us playing on Daley Thompson's Decathlon? Must say I was always a 'Track and Field' man myself.....not that it EVER seemed to actually work! Perhaps coded in Poland?

A quote from the MultiSensor 6 manual: "Please note that when installed outdoors of your home, your MultiSensor should only be relied on for temperature, light, humidity, and ultraviolet readings, where as (sic) the motion sensing capabilities should be disabled on your gateway in order to avoid false readings."

The device is IP20 so outside you have to protect it from rain. And direct sunlight. One could use a housing with a clear cover. That cover would filter IR and make the motion sensor useless anyway...

Moreover, on the box it says: "Operating temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C".

but that doesn't make it waterproof.....
