Question

Posted

I have a Home Centre  Lite controller that is a couple of years old that I now cannot get to appear in Finder or control it.

I recently had to change my router and all my ip addresses changed from the 10.0.1.xxx range to 192.168.0.xxx range.  When I use a ip scanner I can see the HCL in the scanner and it appears with a ip address of 10.0.1.215 and also shows a mac address and the name of the HCL.  When i view the router I can also see this 10.0.1.215 address  (all other addresses are in the range 192.168.0.xxx).

I have tried every method listed in the fibaro forum to try and factory reset my HCL but with no success.

Does anyone have a suggestion to help rectify this problem

Thanks

Richard

Did you follow this guide:

And in your case this line is very important:

"Holding recovery button for too long may cause controller to enter static IP mode. In that case one can attach it to computer directly with RJ45 connector, adjust his own network settings (IP in the same pool and default gateway 192.168.81.1) and perform recovery this way."

This is what you want to achieve and then change the ip address.

Hi,

same Problem with the HCL.

Cannot locate the "recovery button" - which isn't described in the very small manual.

I've tried the reset by taken the button placard with "+". The other one is the power button, right?

Please login or register to see this image.

Nothing will happen, after short blinking of the power led, the light goes from left to right and to the left ...

Later on, the leds goes from the outer to the inner led.

I've tried the direct attach to a windows-computer, set the computers network card to dhcp to

check if the HCL configured with a static ip. Usually windows will set an ip.-address in the same range.

But still nothing will happen.

I work as administrator in a datacenter - I know what ip-network, dhcp etc. is.

Any hints?

Mot.
