Mitsubishi AC over wifi (MELCloud)

Question

Posted

Hi all,

I'm almost ready to buy the MSZ-EF25VEW AC unit with the WiFI module. Now, since it will have an IP in the internal network, is there any chance I can use the HCL to control it?

Cheers,

ALF

so far I've found this:

I now just need an hour or two to dig into it:

edit: also found this which looks like a means for turning the heating and cooling on/off which I guess you could use a fibaro relay to control (although I'd need to do a bit more research to understand how it works first):

Any updates? I have a Mitsubishi Ecodan, and I am thinking of buying the wifi adapter, but only in case I can integrate this in my HC2.

On the Domoticz forum someone managed to control his Mitsubishi airconditioning with a Perl script:

Probably we can use the basics of this script to integrate this in our HC2.

Unfortunately I am also following. I have 4 heat pumps controlled with the melcloud app.. Would like HC2 to manage the units.

I have reverse engineered the melcloud API but I don’t have time to write a complicated VD for melcloud and I also don’t have sufficient knowledge in writing Lua VDs. So if there is someone with the required knowledge and free time I can assist him with the API communication.
